POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
The son and heir of nothing in particular
Poems Written on Seaside Postcards (collaboration with Casted_Runes)
Miss Wales, 1982
Oh dear, the palpable fear
News splashed like seagull shit.
The Fingering Wall beside the Fair -
Miss Wales, what did you do?
Giving head to a judge
Swallowed your pride
Senile, semen of bile,
Dethroned to whirl of waltzers.
Stiff sea breeze roughed her candy-floss hair.
Sauce for the Chips
Greetings from sunny Clacton!
This long weekend is on its way:
we met these swingers on the pier
and had our tea with them.
They’re down at the holiday camp, near
where your Becky used...

Sailing Paper-Boats Poetry in a Puddle
Sail kindly
Let no ill winds
Desecrate your voyage.
Upon the beatnik bow
Fingers fold passion until they break,
Machete cuts papyrus hearts.
Tributaries of river’ed sonnets
S(wash)buckle naked verse to harbour walls,
Drip-dry verbs crack the ocean pelvic bone.
Streams of reams inked so heavy
They could sink and drown dreams.
Loneliness of long distance swimmer,
Soliloquy storms sit on listless jibs.
Farewell and Adieu to the
Poets of Barcelona and Bedlam,
Secrets buried on Shanghai shores, ...

The Traffic Hermit
Besieged by schoolboy stones, recalled
Ricochet of El Alamein artillery,
Desert rats wearing ties and trainers.
The Gods of his everyday mourning
Sweep shrapnel beside road signs,
Each destination arrives at solitude.
Trams drudge along Gdansk streets, as
Vodka dribbling from mouth to (bottle)neck,
Shipyard cranes genuflect to hunchbacked sky.
Placed his furniture foetus into a pram
Cradled solace in petrichor and petrol fumes,
In morning mist, swinging incense,
He broke bread to feed birds and himself.

(In)completely Yours (collaboration with Uma)
i stack the aging golden sepias
as summer butterflies
as haunting moonmoths
and lanterning fireflies
as elusive silverfishes
in emergence
nibbling erected
brainy cellulostic nipples
until rib hip lip seductions
the appetite is forever
never will stop
never will finish
our coming of the age
eternal origami in mindbending
murmurations
Driftwood dreams of birth souvenirs
An umbilical c(h)ord of sing(ular) songs,
Pillars of two breaths writhe
Wreath the cold white air

Solivagant on Glass Streets
Ballerinas of broken bottles
Berth bandage to tiny feet,
Snowfall now would break ankles
From catacombs, roots relevé
Towards smashed bulbs
Nesting in sky eaves
Twilight anoints pavement mirrors,
On nights like this
Reflective minds become an igloo,
Intuitive as ice-picked skin
Dying poets lodge on meadow mantle(piece)
Ceramic children wave from a hospital window,
All that is loved and lost become stalagmite limbs
Frosted frieze envelops street lights
Torch memories onto brick cinema, ...

Nain in Pieces
She wouldn’t have rode an
Elevator for fear of Ascension,
Lifts were braked by granite men
Travelling coal seams breadth.
Rusted bird cage a family heirloom,
Haunted by fragile bones of dead
Canaries who never used their wings,
Until that one Autumn when everyone flew.
Twisting in my hands; swinging mirror,
Smell of cat piss, tiny bells rattle,
The shroud which encased darkness
Became a surplice for absence.
Her presence lingers beside
A silent sewing machine,
Reeling Romany threads
Around a felled...

Sprawled in Summertime Oils
The beautiful regret of white
Shallow snow of summer falls, still
Breeze tastes the warmth between her thighs
Liminal lovers will come to her tonight, perhaps
Sweltering loneliness blisters anonymous face
Teeth of the sun chatter secrets into her mouth, red
Gripping pastel priapism opens dark invitations
To spread of billowing shadow against flesh, waiting
An urban concrete contemplation of minds travelling
Heaps city blocks upon streets of emptiness, fleeting
Her eye-harbours are pearled

Lacrimosa Postcard (collaboration with Uma)
does the so-marked blemishes
of a fated cratering moonface
diminish any of a full-lighted
night…this ‘chitra pournami’
holds no sins or secretive vices
or any other’sided anonymities…
…to be in counts…when sacred fire
of our ‘one’ third eye chakra burns
i descend down to your call
as a carved out live silhouette…
in our streets o love, the sunred
festive strings of lanterning rows
…spread out as as versing dreameye
figments…in lousy~poemblooms
Concussed by the moon on...

The Padlocked Cemetery Gates
The ambulance-chasers turn left at the lights
Blood on the road has satiated their death thirst,
A plastic Christ genuflects to their windscreen.
On my first visit here, men in black and collars
Spoke loudly of thy, thine and hallowed ground,
Child reading cold marble as braille
Turned centuries into magic numbers,
Thumbed turf clods until hands turned green.
Playing Hide & Seek behind coffins,
Rehearse the traverse from womb to tomb;
We spend our lives seeking -
Burying caskets of true feelings.
The saplings...

Born to Hang
The crescent moon hangs as the
Executioner’s smile across harbour lips,
Windswept rhapsodies of a midnight piano
Wreathe the mouth of the teenage junkie
To the somnolent doorway……
The Irish Sea is sullen tonight.
The sinking sonar of summer’s lonely swimmers
Sleepcrawls across the drowned steam-submarine (of 1880).
A peroxide wraith rattles shingle
Saturated thighs breach breakers,
On your knees and pray for me
For the roped fatale is emerging.
Hampstead host to beguiling swine
(Sty)lised fools of fortune,...
