SLEEPING WIFE
I see you sleep, with your back to me
But I don't think it discourtesy;
Nothing so warms my husbandly breast
As seeing you serenely at rest.
I'd wake you up only when there's a need
(I mean one not involving my seed)
I'm content to gaze silent awhile,
Like our loving God upon you smile.
Other men maul their wives straight away
But I sense it's not your time to play.
If your love for me I want to keep
I must let you have your beauty sleep,
But when you turn in my direction,
I most want to show my affection
With soft words, kisses, a...

WHITE BITS
WHITE BITS
Don’t be embarrassed by your “white bits”;
To me they highlight loins, bum and tits.
Those bits – where your bikini has been –
Are beautiful to me, not obscene.
In dark I can more easily see
Those parts of you that turn on me,
Show me where to put my eyes and hands,
And where to place my carnal demands!
It saves us from having on the lights
When we prepare to make love at nights!
Cherish those bits with female pleasure,
On the beach keep them hidden treasure,
Only to be shared with faithful spouse
Within the shelter of...

RED SILKS SHEETS AND LINGERIE - EPILOGUE
Thus, equal ranked in nudity,
Our "one flesh" act could come to be.
Morning woke us embraced in bed,
Our bodies swathed in silken red.
We exchanged thanks and "You were great
On this anniversary date."
O Wife, for this you are first-prized:
That RED hot break you organized!
Our "one flesh" act could come to be.
Morning woke us embraced in bed,
Our bodies swathed in silken red.
We exchanged thanks and "You were great
On this anniversary date."
O Wife, for this you are first-prized:

RED SILK SHEETS AND LINGERIE
RED SILK SHEETS AND LINGERIE
(Inspired by picture accompanying an earlier poem seen on DU yesterday. Majors on colour red and its narrative implies a coming collision.)
"Red means danger", they say of signs,
But I'm caught up in your designs.
That silk sheet and your lingerie
Sure weren't meant to deter me.
By the drink that I had taken
My good-bad sense is overtaken.
Like a driver out of control,
Risking parting of body and soul.
No space, time, sense to swerve away,
I crash headlong into the hay,
Where you're...
