(NOT THE FAMOUS) CALENDAR GIRLS

This is an imaginative look at some pictures in an imagined community calendar inspired by the Yorkshire women's institute members whose story is told by the British film "Calendar Girls".

The baker’s wife without any clothes,
Strategic bits hid behind some loaves,
With a saucy smile across her face,
Tempting me her figure to embrace.

The antique dealer’s wife with nothing on
A figure that easily turns on One,
Leaving something to imaginations
Behind mugs of all past Coronations.

A woman of one of the local farms
Stands propped, behind a gate that bars her charms
And bears a notice at the centre
Inscribed: TRESPASSERS DO NOT ENTER!

The sandwich bar lady reveals most,
Each ‘best bit’ hid behind slice of toast,
Holding to viewer bottle of sauce
As if to use for sex intercourse.

The local pub’s chief barmaid,
With a figure amply made,
Holding trayful of tipples
Whose glasses hide the nipples!
