POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
My poetry is mostly an exploration of the human condition.
Tangled Heart
Lately I have been thinking about you
But the thing is I refuse to check up on you
Because I know it would be opening pandoras box
I do hope you are doing well
But I don't know today my heart just feels tangled up
Don’t worry this isn't me missing you
It's just that my mind is making me question a lot of things lately
My heart hasn't really been opened up
For a while now
And I am asking myself why this is the case
So in my own way
I am just investigating the cause
Which leads me on a journey to the past ...
But the thing is I refuse to check up on you

I do hope you are doing well
But I don't know today my heart just feels tangled up

Debunked III
Honestly if we haven't spoken in sometime and you need to ask for a favour. Just cut to the chase.
It's clear you want something when you start asking me how I'm doing after a long period of time.
Respect me enough to know I'm not dumb. I won't hate you for straight shooting.

Debunked II
When I say 'I am doing nothing'
I am not inviting you to come over
Nor am I asking you to invite me out
Doing nothing doesn't mean I'm available. That deserves its own request.

Debunked
Me being nice doesn't mean I trust you.
That as the cliche goes
Must be earned

As I can be
It's funny to look at my life today
Writing was never in my radar
The thing is I struggle with languages
I would give it my all but still suck at it
Math comes so natural to me
I honestly believed that would be my path
Yet the thing is when it comes to failure
I am stubborn in this regard
I know nobody can do anything
But an innate part of me believes it can
If it can be learned then its only a matter of time before I can do it
However this trait is also coupled with a motive
So it took almost failing for me to...

As I was
Once upon a time
I had my life together
I had a rough plan
But anything I thought about
I was able to do
My life wasn't the best but you know what it was on the way to being the best.
I had finally found myself in a space where being me was benefitting.
I may not have had it all but know what I had everything I needed. I had love, happiness and achievement. Hard work was actually paying off.
Yet I didn't realise that my life was starting to crack. I didn't see what was happening until it was too late.
I failed, I got my...

30 Seconds of forever
Now I'm one of those people
Who when watching a game show
Shout out the answers
I know they can't hear me
but in a funny way
I'm trying to see if I am right.
Getting a few answers correct
Is always followed by the answer:
'I could win this'
Then there's one of my best friends
He and I, don't have many common interests
Yet we have a dynamic that works
I've honestly never lost at 30 seconds
When playing with him as a partner
This created the idea that I may be good at this game
That is until one...

As I Am
I generally have a weird memory. I tend to forget things easily then out of the blue remember something even details which people overlook. It's like unless I need it, I don't remember it. Unlike people who remember everything all the time.
However one thing has stuck around with me. I don't remember the full conversation but I remember my mother blurting 'Just stop being anti-social'.
I was in my early years of high school but the words stuck around.
Then there's my father, to use a high school analogy, he is a 'cool kid'. In fact he was very popular in...

Dear S
I've always loved you
I just never had the words
But I tried my best to show you
You see we were never the right fit
Yet somehow we always made sense
I always hoped you'd see my efforts
However this was never the case
There would always
be some distance
Between us and I guess
I just got tired of chasing you
As much as I loved you
It's as though you never chose me
You picked me up many times
But it was out of duty
I saw you fall apart
And although I was there
Yet I wasn't the one you...
