I am relatively new to poetry, my only experience being that on DUP. I enjoy love and erotic poems the most and like rhyming poetry.

The Rose under Pregnant Moon
She lay on silken sheets
Bathed in the pregnant moon’s glow
Shadows played across her length
Like those of the setting sun
The light of the moon revealed
Subtle hints of luscious rouge
Upon both skyward turned buds
And the petals over her love
Her legs opened like a flower to the sun
Exposing her bedewed core
Achingly beautiful in it's intimacy
And in the lust it inspired
Ruby lips parted like a flower
Revealing perfect white teeth
Glistening in the touch of the stars
And calling me like a beacon ...

True value
Some say ‘that which glitters is gold’
But I’ve ever found metal to be cold
Gold could never compare
To a lovely maiden fair
Whom is by far much warmer to hold
Some place their value in cash
But I’d scrap that stuff in a dash
Just to stand up tall
Beneath a waterfall
And bathe in its cleansing splash
Some people live for fine jewellery
But I’m not one for such foolery
I much prefer instead
To fill my whirring head
With topics that are far more schoolery
Some value material above all ...

Resolution to Love
My resolution for this year
Is to love you more my dear
Let me shout it loud and clear
Let me draw you ever near
Together we need never fear
The judgement in the eyes that peer
The ones that see our lives as queer
This year you’ll need not shed a tear
For my resolve to be right here
Survives the dying of the year
This I swear to you my dear
My love for you could never veer.

This Girl's Soul
This girl’s soul
Got me stuck in a hole
Caught like a fish
On this kitty cat's dish
I try to sleep
But into my mind she seeps
Infecting me
Not content to leave me be
It is her mind
That makes her one of a kind
Beautiful beyond compare
And a heart just as fair
Love her words
Infatuated, just one of her herd
Afflicted by lust
Hot and sensual love a must
But it cannot be
That she’d desire me
With naught to give
From this life I live
This girl's soul

Bath Musings
I plunge
Into the depths
Immersing myself
Feeling weightless
Distorted sounds
Of Mecury's voice
Reach me
Through waves
Bubbles slip
Ever more slowly
From parted lips
They break the surface
Feeling warm
Feeling safe
Do I stay here?
Do I embrace this?
Chest tightens
Lungs hitch
Can I relax into this?
Feel no more?
I break the surface
Water cascades
From my hair
Down my face
I take a deep breath
Lungs fill
With cool air
I live....

Lost
I got into this for you
But somehow I became lost
Losing sight of what was true
How high is the cost?
Risking near everything
In blind pursuit of desire
Much like Icarus' wings
I flew too close to the fire
Can a man redeem his sins?
Start the slate anew?
Turn all his loses into wins?
Redo all he ever knew?
But I don’t think one man can
Make up for all that pain
Make themselves a better man
To feel a moral gain
Perhaps I’m destined to this way stay
Blind to the answers that I seek ...
But somehow I became lost
