Sell your soul for me
I mean
You would give up every moral for me
Twist your view
So you can hold onto me

I'd take every offering
Spill it on a lie
Till all that's left us an empty hide

I love the child in your laugh
How security around me has fallen a bit lax
I love how you explain things
Even when you're tired you write a song and try to sing
Perhaps it is the guarded past
Matching mine with a twisted path
Cause you did it all by yourself
No help
There was just you
Nobody else
And as much as you like to credit her
For becoming someone you think is better
You've settled as badly as I have
Loving someone you can never truly have
And I'm sorry the mirror looks so damn black ...

Always Believe the Man.
He played the a soulful piano
Every song about her
His sorrow came through and its sympathy he incurred
He spoke of a heartless woman
Then of a goddess in human
His heartbreak spoke louder
Than any truth that might imbue him
So one day all the villagers
Led by the women who felt his plight
All gathered under the street lights
To meet at her house round midnight
They dragged her whore ass out
Right into the street
Stripped her naked and staked her to a pole like so much meat
After taking turns plunging then...

Such a small limited space

The Art of Worrying.
I feared the fire so I lit my body red
I sat there and let it burn toe to head
I realized I had looked for the match
Perhaps I could have avoided the mishap
But the possibility just wouldn't leave me alone
If I was to burn why do it tomorrow
I held a letter as I realized I was alive
The signature at the bottom demanding that I die
By the time I woke and charred my flesh beyond repair
Too late was it to get back the time before the flare
I looked for the accelerant
I sought that which...
