The air is thick
Sacrificing all of me
Feeling bonded and helpless
In mental calamity
He has white privilege
but their Blurred vision, and clogged mental sees me as just another....
You can’t feel how I feel
If your not in my skin
To say you understand is just a natural tick
Many days the stares, comments and dismissive gestures have made me mental sick
Even with the ring
Even holding different honorable degrees
Social status doesn’t change the color of my skin
She can be a stay at home and she can be a stay at home
And I am looked down...

Will beat love till it has no flesh
Will be gentle then rough through sex
Maybe
The lover thats calm but overly possessive
sometimes a jealous heart is rebellious
Is that why you said it’s 4ever
Permanently scarring me so Its impossible to leave
There’s no pill for mental abuse

Masters never show them how to win
Students watch and digest the food for thought
Because your enemy grins
Tempers burn pages through the pad
Your mad so you slack on offense forgetting
Words Are the strongest defense
Don’t fall ill to the tongues of the dirtiest pigs in the Pen
Your ink should be the sickest
Venom to slay the seen and unseen
The clean and unclean
I mean you dream to be the greatest don’t you?
The masters teach tricks to the punctual

Prejudice and malice
Once upon a time ,
Jealousy gave head to envy
Hate made love to despair
Produced a bloodshed
Called death

Before a child was born,

Our Convenient Sex

Than I said I loved the way
You used to have me on all fours
Against the project wall in the kitchen Of our Queens apartment

And as I was carrying his casket
He rose up and spoke to me
In words I could not understand
My heart was drenched in tears
I had never took the time to grieve
I woke up drenched in the sweat of my guilt
And I saw his eyes open
As we put him back in the ground
I called my pastor and he went into worship
Because I don’t know how to say grandfather I miss you three years from today
You keep showing up in my dreams and I can’t save you
I hear the sirens
And now I pray
Because I’m too scared to lay back...
