POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Hiding From The Sun
Hit in the face with a brick;
The desert heat bounces off the billboards
Suitcase, stairs, struggle,
Dining with the leftovers of musical kings
Seabirds flock from a box,
And a woman dies at a bus stop
Down the glittering streets of Utopia,
My eyes just two more stars in this galaxy
But the heat is a murderous tormentor...
Can't sleep with the murderous tormentor
Cooking the night away
Exploring the castles
Where souls are lost each day
Greeted by the clown with the greasepaint smile,
But I swiftly escape to the freezer
I passed...

Jolly
Of course you're not impressed;
The absence of colour is so threatening, isn't it?
When they gasped at the sight,
Stopped dead in their tracks,
She just laughed in their faces,
Having flirted with fashion
You too, will laugh,
But for very different reasons
It's a foreign language you're unwilling to learn,
A beautiful image you're you're unwilling to see,
Two men share a kiss,
Your stomach will turn,
Two women do the same,
And all will be jolly
She lives for surprise,
But she won't apologise,
A Goddess in men's...

Look On The Bright Side
Dead horses in the fields,
Resurrected before my eyes
Sporadic snowstorms
Summoning short-lived excitement,
Computers promising to be hassle-free for the day
A parade in my honour,
They told me,
The sky turning white with agreement
Hundreds of rainbow extroverts dressed in black,
Lining the streets with anticipation
Heavy, angry, rock music
Stomping its way through the people
Uplifting was the darkness,
Bubbles of shadow bursting the balloons,
And leaping from cottage to skyscraper
Talking and stalking,
The normal...
