Flowers and Blood
Her love for him, sweet!
Like the first day of summer;
flowers, bees and butterflies too, in the warm fragrant breeze!
Her love for him, soured!
Like the first day on the Somme;
death, blood and screams too, in the warm ugly breeze!
Like the first day of summer;
flowers, bees and butterflies too, in the warm fragrant breeze!
Her love for him, soured!
Like the first day on the Somme;
death, blood and screams too, in the warm ugly breeze!

Love
Steel sharp bloody wet
The princess and the queen grin
The king lies dying

Summer
What do you desire more?
(The tubby little cherub asked, flitting about)
The summer sweet cherries ablaze calling out from the tree?
Or the bee’s nectar, glistening!
The damsel, vivacious! fragrant! in a loose knit non clinging flowing purple dress?
Or the fresh meringue weeping, on top of the cream?
“Hmmm, - well, the damsel I suppose; - she seems to house the other three! ”

Her Music
I saw her - no, well yeah; in the distance.
I heard her - no, felt her; yes! - in my heart!
It was the crashing down of its ramparts!
I heard her - no, felt her; yes! - in my heart!
It was the crashing down of its ramparts!

Caught Within
I’m in a love triangle like no other,
before or since.
One, she is from across the raucous sea!
the other from across the void of eternity.
My heart is pulled.
Should I stay or should I go?
before or since.
One, she is from across the raucous sea!
the other from across the void of eternity.
My heart is pulled.
Should I stay or should I go?

Safe
The shutters,
closed,
weathered and worn.
The wounded heart,
shudders;
peering out.
For evermore.
closed,
weathered and worn.
The wounded heart,
shudders;
peering out.
For evermore.

Will You Walk With Me
Will you walk with me my lady
in the shadows
up by the moon.
Where dreams abound,
whispers, secrets too.
From across the abyss.
From the garden itself,
on the edge of time.
Man, and woman,
the first! - poetic rhyme.
A caress from the heavens,
stars in the canopy,
one falling for the others dust!
Shimmering and sparkling,
Love is a must!
Rolling, and tumbling.
Clinging. Whispering. Promising.
In the shadows,
up by the moon;
beneath the sycamore’s plume.
Crickets singing,
Lightning...
in the shadows
up by the moon.
Where dreams abound,
whispers, secrets too.
From across the abyss.
From the garden itself,
on the edge of time.
Man, and woman,

Neglected
The passersby looked upon
the thing lying broken in its shiny goo.
It wiggled and shook; - and moaned.
The sky was blue!
the thing lying broken in its shiny goo.
It wiggled and shook; - and moaned.
The sky was blue!

Entranced
A vibrant outpost within her emerald green eyes!
I think I’ll sit a while beside her Nile;
and listen to the Tigris and Euphrates . . .

Emily, from Amherst
Did she perceive she was an extreme?
While gathering her paintings; amid the splendor.
From somewhere, seemingly beyond the garden’s shores.
Before fig leaves, two lovers’ adorned.
As the serpent mum! - meandered alone.
And where the great whales’ sang with perfect tone!
