POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I ain't no academic though I've been writing for two score with the typical ups and downs. My work seeks intimacy and passion especially as it pertains to the dark and sometimes ugly side of the street. Thankfully beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Dead of winter
I'd love to think
it was dust shaken
from the wings
of angels and halos
of saints but it ain't,
these ghosts of lace
doily snow flakes
flittering about
like a plague
of albino locusts
fornicating free
into a whitening
paste masking grass,
asphalt and spirit .
Toes blue and stinging
under frayed sheets
as if wool socks were
traded for wasp nests.
By a dying candle
I post card sanctuaries ,
now derelict dreams ,
that it sucks here,
where the chill burrows
in crevices of bone
and who but...

A hundred words
Though as told a picture
be worth a thousand words
I will keep the ink to a mere
hundred hoping the point be
made that as the lyric of love
repeats with the diamond needle
skipping along the dusty vinyl
over and over again in sweet refrains,
any hand approaching the phonograph
with intention of stopping short the song
will be severed for the sentiment bears
repeating till my last breath blows
from this life to the next where upon
figuring the lay of the land my heart
will resume beating for the beauty
of the ages for...

LOST KEYS
Once a wet Disney
world dream did cum
true giving this cold
soul an ice breaking
conversation piece
of certified choice ass.
Now I have become
one or at least
that's what she said
calling me cheeky
while carving me
a twin asshole
just hours before
her trusty spade
dug out rancid
pieces of heart.
But there was a time
when two strangers
met under a blue moon,
buzzed by midnight
lifting her pleated
black chiffon skirt
towards her soft belly,
training my tongue ...
