When will I ever stop falling in love with the idea of you?
I never seemed to realize the monster you are,
I just saw the prince charming I created in my dreams.
I molded the shell of you
And filled you with what I thought you should be.
I never fell in love with you,
Just who I thought you were.

I was the lamb who fell in love with the wrong lion.
Lured in by false securities
And your soothing lullabies of lies.
Only to realize the trap I had fallen into,
And the teeth that gleamed from beneath the mask that...

Lying next to you,
Listening to you breathe heavily in your sleep.
I never want to leave this heaven.
The devil’s crowbar couldn’t pry me from your arms.
I live my life for the sole purpose of hearing your heart beating next to mine.
I only exist in the soul searing wait between our kisses.

How I wish I hadn’t let you fall into the black abyss of fate.
You weren’t just the one who got away…
You were the one that I took off the hook and dropped into the water
Without a second glance.
Thinking that you could never amount to much.
I never would...

Look inside of me,
And I'm ashamed,
Of what I see.
A pathetic shriveled up soul,
With nothing in it anymore.

A washed up version,
Of what she used to be.

I remember her being full of life,
And caring smiles.
Wishing everyone could live to be,
What their meant to be.
That girl lying curled up in that corner,
So sad and small.
Looks like nothing,
Of what I remember her to be.

She used to be a positive thinker,
Never letting life get her down.

and pushes it back.
