POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
An imprisoned soul longing to be free I stumbled upon this place while searching for a place to be. I started asking questions and breaking traditional rules. I am a poet and I am a fool. Trapped, I want not be. As a poet, I be me.
Hooked
I can't help it. There's a sweet taste on my lips. I have a memory of sensory, my hands on her hips. God damn my soul, I extended my hand, and I'm willing my whole. She's so fucking beautiful.

Alone in these Trees
Alone in the trees with the birds and the bees
I reminisce the days we used to roam the streets
Used to be kids with hopes and dreams
I used to wish to travel the seven seas
You just wanted to be free
And now I'm stuck, saying things like rest easy
Alone in these trees since you've passed
I couldn't bear to see you lowered in a cask'
Happy birthday, kid, I'll raise my flask
Save me a place, that's all I ask
Climbing these trees, alone, with the birds and the bees.

Like a Needle
As I sit, I let these word penetrate like the sharp point of a needle.
Feeling the sting as they set in and release their numbing sensation like drops of morphine.
Slowly letting them kill me as I lose my breath, that same breathlessness of an overdose.
Feeling my heart crumble as if it's murmuring its final beats.
Paralysis overcoming my body, leaving me speechless as the thought of you resonates within the deepest parts of me.
They say that you can die of heartbreak, and I sit, watching the life I had fade out of sight.
Unable to revive myself after these words...

Not My Blessing
I was given life
I was given love
She gave herself to me
When she opened up
I see her naked
Not in a clothed aspect
But through to her soul
I've taken her hand
And gave her my whole
I just want her happy
That's how she seems with me
Smiling, joyful, blissfully her
I'm her biggest fan, lover, supporter
The sight of her elegant and exquisite beauty had me in tears
All I can think of is the rest of my life and all of my fears.
Love and Expedition split by "if"
Inquisition and fear; a shear cliff
I look back and...

Restless
Hush now, child
Close your eyes.
Under your bed,
Your demons lie.
Take a breath,
And try to sleep.
Around your dreams,
These monsters creep.
Dark and twisted,
Are tormented souls.
Feel wicked hands
That begin to pull.
Night terrors begin,
And screaming starts.
Drenched cold sweats
And pounding heart,
Child, you're restless.
You must be tired.
Yet you don't sleep.
You feel hell fire,
Don't you, young one?
I know, I know.
This isn't much fun.
Hush now, child.
Let them play. ...

Memories
Icy blue eyes
The bluish hue of white
Blending with deep sea green
The coldest stare I've ever seen
Rosey red cheeks
Taupe and golden skin
No matter the look
No match to the beauty within
So soft, smooth, near perfection
A voice so soft
Couldn't be more powerful
Shrill, yet sweet and comforting
Clover lips colored blood red
Soft and kissable
Leave memories undismissable
Barely a moment's notice
Stuck with me for a lifetime
Eyes so beautiful
Now remain closed
Cheeks that once held a smile
Now...

Corporate America (Babylon Fall)
Hell is rising, hate surrounds.
Expressions clear; so profound
Bombs are dropping, and children screaming.
Threats across the globe. Am I just dreaming?
The prophets foretold, yet still we run blind.
Could it be that we live eye for eye?
We lock up the wild and wicked.
We leave them in a cage where life is constricted.
Put them in a zoo for us to play God for a while.
We call this okay, and we still keep a smile?
We go into other countries, like slithering snakes.
We make up some deals and hands meet to shake.

If You're Out There
Please, dear God,
If you truly exist
And you're not a façade
Will you answer me this:
I know it seems odd,
But will my sins be dismissed?
If you're out there and listening
Will I be accepted in Heaven?
With the pearly gates glistening?
I ask because I was told
That knowledge is power
I heard once, at ten years old
"You know not the day nor the hour"
And now, I'm feeling bold
Like the green of a budding flower
If you're truly by my side
You'd know of all my sins
And of course, you know why ...

Dying Without Her
We met eyes
We locked lips
I placed my hands
Upon her hips
I fell for her
As she did me
Little by little
Still as each moment be
She only said she did
She didn't want me sad
That's what I figure
She's the only love I had
I watched her love another
Hers in his open hand
I died just a little
Pouring this timely sand
Each moment passed
And I died a little more
I thought she was the one
The one I've longed for
She kissed him
Our same kiss
The one from...

Barely a Moment's Notice
Something like a static vibration, where a feeling of ecstacy overcomes you, your hair stands straight, and everything looks brighter. As you let this feeling linger, the corners of your mouth begin to curl into a smile, and a feeling of warmth rushes down your spine. Along with that, you feel as if you're floating. Weightless, timeless, and the feeling of butterflies fluttering in the pit of your stomach as your mind stops in awe. This feeling comes effortlessly. The release of dopamine in the brain, lapsing through each brain cell, eventually getting each synapse causing overload....

I'm F.I.N.E.
They ask if I'm good, I say I'm okay
'Cause I'm calm on the surface
I'd hate for the world to know
That I'm far beyond nervous.
The truth is that I'm FRANTICALLY searching
For an IRRATIONAL solution that I feel I'm not deserving
So NEUROTIC that one wrong breath could send me over the edge
Too EMOTIONAL for my own good, peering off the ledge.
They ask me if I'm okay
I don't show my weakened spine
Instead, I grit my teeth.
And reply... I'm F.I.N.E.
