If You're Out There

Please, dear God,
If you truly exist
And you're not a façade
Will you answer me this:
I know it seems odd,
But will my sins be dismissed?

If you're out there and listening
Will I be accepted in Heaven?
With the pearly gates glistening?

I ask because I was told
That knowledge is power
I heard once, at ten years old
"You know not the day nor the hour"
And now, I'm feeling bold
Like the green of a budding flower

If you're truly by my side
You'd know of all my sins
And of course, you know why
Even so, would you really let me in?

I keep search for answers
So please, give me a sign
My curiosity grows like cancer,
Are you truly so divine?
Upon flames I perform like a dancer
Do you walk through this life of mine?

Please, dear God
If you're out there
I don't expect a lot
I know that you're fair.
Please, oh God
Please be out somewhere...
