POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Tracing my way back..
Sprinted across the bridge ablaze
turning every so often to count the spineless planks
that kept plummeting into the leaping gorge
hours, seasons, years all lost along the jarring trail
Scampering about in a wobbly stride
to retrace those nimble leaps of faith
that lay buried under a pathway charred
a sepulchral existence disguised in grace.
Mourned by the dropping autumn leaves
Reminisced by the jaunty spring blossoms
wasted under the sun shining into the torpid bleary eye
an emaciated farmhand reduced to making hay.

THE LEPER ON THE OVERBRIDGE
Every morning you’d find him there
An unmistakable presence
pounced upon by passing stares,
that never found the compassion
nor the audacity to return.
Yet onto the overbridge he clambered,
Often accompanied by a dog
Reputed for being more or less a flea.
Crouching over a copper vessel
Which at the toss of an occasional dime
Rang aloud with an impish glee.
Early chills of the cackling metropolis breeze
Braved unfelt by the thickening nerves
Brisk steps of mankind passing by
rubbing skin and billowing smoke,
made him reminisce the...

WISH TILL UR HEART BRIMS OVER..
I wish I could pierce through the stars
to see what lay within
But then they would loose
their ethereal charm
that they”ve endlessly woven!
A life where I could forsee
The future that lay untold
But wouldn’t it feel I’ve outlived
the span of my control
I still have distant memories
Of a very weird dream
Being chased by elephants jumping fences
I could hear myself scream
I woke up from the slumber
and sat down to contemplate
I still wonder where the sheep had gone
Guess I was startled by the pachyderms
Because of what I...

All that's vitriolic in me....
Torn between the lucifer
and the angel watching over me
I pule in indiscreet silence
over the undue ruthless lampooning
until my voice is nothing more than a woeful squeal
lo and behold! once again
as I hurtle out what I feel.
Which one is more tormenting
of these would you say?
stark saline water seeping into lacerated skin
or perhaps a will that crashes against
the unthawed to rest in a watery grave.
I try but in vain to plunge in
to retrieve those vitriol filled vials.
stashed on the ship wrecked sea floor ...

An eerie silence
broken by a daring cricket
guzzles down the evening
into its tranquil fold
The night sashayes down the sky
with her head held high,
forlorn shadows scurrying under her tresses
leap out of cemeteries old.
The flickering candles in the wind
from the arched windows they behold
stalking into your jocund home
make your furry friend howl, leave you cold.
Some linger in the sordid darkness
stuck up, without a sight or sound
Some are much more expressive
humouring you with the...

In Tatters,Yet Unseen....
Placid teardrops flowing unseen
Unfelt even on my rimy skin
That's when I ripped open my heart
and it made them turn around in glee
Still shackled in stinging clips and wires
I lay there hallucinating, I was free.
They heaved out a repressed sigh of relief
After making sure that I was alive,
Although I couldn't help stiffling a chuckle
when they told me "C'mon, you'll survive!"
Pulling me right out of a rotting slag heap
A ragged doll they thought they could fix ...
