The Rot
My soul once innocent
My feelings unscathed
I once was magnificent
But time has betrayed
My actions so virtuous
My heart so pure
Life became torturous
And I became unsure
With innocence erased
I felt anger begin
Hatred replaced
And the rot set in
My blackened heart
With no love to give
A vicious start
Of this new way to live
Mentally detached
Reckless in nature
Quick to attack
Cuz I fucking hate you
I say what I want
My filterless tongue
Excitement nonchalant

Crooked spine
And hobbled feet
Corrupted mind
Thoughts incomplete
Blood red eyes
And a forked tongue
Venomous lies
Told to the young

In shadows existed
Coming for our souls

When Our Dreams Have Died
Land of opportunity
A chance to thrive
A loving community
That's full of drive
Where dreams take shape
And hard work pays
Once America was great
Unique in many ways
Brother helping brother
With a common goal
Success of each other
Is success of the whole
Happiness and success
At our fingertips
But now nevertheless
Our dreams have slipped
Tears have moistened
Our tear filled eyes

Covered in victims blood that dried
Laughing, crying with teary eyes

This child only just thirteen
Enough to make you cry and scream
Living a nightmare of a dream
Parents heads both found impaled ...

Blood stains on the concrete wall
Red rivers flowing on the floor
Hidden shadows in corners crawl
A chilling draft creaking the door
The flickering light enrages
As I quickly scan the room
Clanging sounds of rattling cages
This torture chamber of doom
His dirty hands and jagged nails
Slowly dragging his hatchet
The smell of bloody entrails
Filled with crawling maggots
Soulless black beady eyes
Gazed hauntingly into mine
Echoes of blood curdling cries ...

Answers to the universe
Lie within this mystery
Once inside there's no reverse
The course of fates destiny
The smell of earthy pine
Has me fully intrigued
This mysterious box is mine
And I cannot critique
Allured by temptation
I can't wait to be inside
My resting place expectation
For the moment when I die
A home away from home
My peaceful eternity
A doorway into the unknown
Will I still exist internally

The plowshare gleams

Killer's Inside
Sounds of pitter patter
Sneaking in for combat
I should have scattered
When I had a chance for that
I saw blood splatter
On the man with the black hat
Chunks of brain matter
Still stuck on the baseball bat
Heavily breathing
With emptiness in his eyes
Searching for meaning
Besides the rage he despised
My hearts rapid beating
Holding back tearful cries
I thought about leaving
But couldn't if I tried
