POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Temporary
I slowly caress your scars
erase craters and volcanoes with fingertips
soft balm better than what invaded
underground rivers with poisonous relief
temporarily meandering your
valleys and gentle mountain slopes
Until above your head
bubbles with unheard words
capture floating colours
more exuberant than
paintings in purple
of tornadoes
and you
erupt
erase craters and volcanoes with fingertips
soft balm better than what invaded
underground rivers with poisonous relief
temporarily meandering your
valleys and gentle mountain slopes
Until above your head
bubbles with unheard words
capture floating colours
more exuberant than
paintings in purple
of tornadoes
and you
erupt

They Say I Am Young
Deep inside me extinguished light
Lost fight against the darkest night
Hiding in corners deep inside
My name I hardly ever hear
For far too long I've lived in fear
Lost everyone that I held dear
The wish to sleep can be so strong
The wish to live a heartbeat long
I am so old, they say I'm young
***
While way up high the sky exploding
Into a multitude of worlds
Though all my blurring eyes are seeing
A tangly mass of messy curls
***
But through those ringlets I, too, see
The stars...

Lost everyone that I held dear

I Wait For You
You'll soon be here
It's quiet now, all have gone
Last light
softens what was too bright before
the surf kicks a ball
as if to say
come play
with water teasing my toes
I wait here for you
one bird curiously inspects my wheels
tries to tear a worm away
The sky draws purple shawls
slowly waving in the evening wind
I still wait for you
In last fringes of light
I need to save myself
from floods rising fast
in my eyes
I give the ball back to the ocean
It's quiet now, all have gone
Last light
softens what was too bright before
the surf kicks a ball
as if to say
come play
with water teasing my toes
I wait here for you
one bird curiously inspects my wheels
tries to tear a worm away
The sky draws purple shawls
slowly waving in the evening wind
I still wait for you
In last fringes of light
I need to save myself
from floods rising fast
in my eyes
I give the ball back to the ocean

A Pair Of Shoes
I tried to walk from my shadow
My feet faltered...
My shadow stopped hesitated
shuffled his feet
One pair of shoes stayed behind
He wanted
to build up volume
but every time his feet neared light
they disappeared
The shoes remained hollow
I watched
from a distance
I was going to lose
if I couldn't subdue Shadow
And what about this
strange fight for my shoes...
Winter was coming
and it would be cold
He frantically moved along the wall
his long legs ...
My feet faltered...
My shadow stopped hesitated
shuffled his feet
One pair of shoes stayed behind
He wanted
to build up volume
but every time his feet neared light
they disappeared
The shoes remained hollow
I watched
from a distance

And what about this

Impaired
All the fingers wait
raised, spread
and the flexes start
the bends
the creeps and crawls
The fruit laid before you
knife cuts
uncovers concealed
scents and flesh
The linen,
folded in crisp creases
your all-seeing eye
unwraps ruthlessly
one crumb grounded
in one corner
one drop of red
One snowflake carries
so many crystals
inifinitely perfect
They disappear
before you decide to dissect
they don't fear the sharp
but the time
it takes
to slice
raised, spread
and the flexes start
the bends
the creeps and crawls
The fruit laid before you
knife cuts
uncovers concealed
scents and flesh
The linen,
folded in crisp creases
your all-seeing eye
unwraps ruthlessly
one crumb grounded
in one corner
one drop of red
One snowflake carries
so many crystals
inifinitely perfect
They disappear
before you decide to dissect
they don't fear the sharp
but the time
it takes
to slice
