My One True Love
When I was just a young girl
I wrote poems every night
about my knight in shining pick up truck
and our love had no end in sight.
Days later I'd crumple the paper
and start a new draft.
This time he was a dark-lived drummer
and my mother hardly laughed.
My feet just kept on moving
ever so often I "fell in love" again.
Then one day it really happened
when I held her little hand.
Those beautiful blue eyes looked at me
red hair and chubby cheeks.
She made a sweet noise and closed her eyes
I couldn't wait for...
I wrote poems every night

Someday I'll look at you
and tell you what a piece of shit you are.
How you treated me was wrong
and now you're doing it to her.
She looks at you with such love
and you just look right through
to antagonize and intimidate me
and that's all you ever want to do.
You broke me down so many times
this time I'll pick myself up
I won't let you hurt me again
I just don't give a fuck.
You're stupid, your a liar
you're absolutely worthless
You even go to the extent to tell our daughter
how she looks stupid in a dress.
As a dad you fucking...

I thought that I would take the chance
to talk to this young man
I saw his picture, read his poems
quickly became his biggest fan.
He liked the way I wrote as well
and soon began to talk to each other
I pretended like I didn't want for anything
and I definitely didn't want forever.
I thought about how young you are
and at first it weighed on my mind.
But I knew there wasn't anyone like you out there
that would be so easy to find.

Better Off Gone
I'm tired....
Tired of feeling this way.
I don't want to get up in the morning
a repetitive cycle every day.
I drag myself out of bed
to atleast be a decent mom.
I sit on the couch, listen to her pout
I dont know where this feeling came from.
Actually I might have an idea
maybe because I cant do anything right..
Maybe because I never put up a fight.
I feel so weak inside
like I cant pull my self off the floor
I cry and I bitch to myself all day
no one wants to hear it anymore.
I look in the drawer
and all I see is a sharp...

For You, My Best Friend
I can tell you anything
you're my best friend.
There's nothing I wouldn't do for you
until the very end.
We couldn't be closer
if it were physically possible
to be able to touch you
would be considered a small miracle.
Our hearts have come together
and we understand each others pain
There's nothing either of us wouldn't do
to make that pain end.
I hear songs on the radio
and its nice to hear the happy ones for once
and to be able to relate to them...
makes me think of you again.
I feel the warm sun on me...
you're my best friend.
There's nothing I wouldn't do for you

Only In My Dreams
Sometimes I dream a lot
about cooking even singing
You wrapping your arms around me
and kissing my neck sweetly.
I kick off my shoes
go in to the kitchen to cook
You see me out of the corner of your eye
giving me the "i love you" look.
You come wrap your arms around my waist.
I look in your beautiful eyes
You melt my heart every time
you always take me by surprise.
You dance me around
and we're laughing away
My heart still beats so fast for you
day after waking day.

I was shaking in every way.
