I've lost my way
aimlessly wandering around
your enticing complexities
distant
you seem
a blurry far off image of you
that's hard to see
a blue haze hidden with-in simplicity
you found comfort in a place
where angels bleed
Though, you do not know
the effect you have on me
with my wayward nature

here I am searching again
hoping and wishing and dreaming
that you'd be near
constantly checking and waiting
for your name to appear
at my job
yet my work it suffers
with you on my mind
my thoughts a fluster
prisoner by your charisma
your perfect skin
and gorgeous eyes
hold me captive again
hidden behind glass
and teddy bears
and lollipops
and a way with words
only a true poet can...

Through the silence
my desire
persisting
like residue
left behind after
blown away ashes
The thought of you
is when the quiet happens
It brings me to shadows
cast over lost feelings
strewn across my bedroom floor
It's not what it was
or what it is
or the lie of what it could be
It's the sadness in your eyes
how our expressions mingle
under nights disguise
All the while I hang by
the blissful dream
that one day...
...you would be mine
