Dear Life
To make playthings of a mind, of a heart, of a soul,
something alive and pulsing, that you wish to take control,
Could very well create a terror, too
huge for your sight...
that could pull you, great puppeteer,
burning and crashing from the sky...
May possibly create a monster,
even bigger than yourself...And sneering,
force you fall down here,
and join your living Hell! ~FTW~

the devil's cherries
Behind attractive "purple stems", looking good enough to eat,
the solo, lonely man will hide, he wants to be discreet.
Behind the leaves no one wants, cause they're "bitter to taste",
he clings to "the lowest ones", safe in "solitary" waste.
"Atropabelladonna" snaps, to exhale his "drying stink",
repelling intruders from his lair, so no one will come to feast.
He calls himself "satan's herb", wants none to enter here,
his heart is internaly "sedated", protected from his fear.

~what is a kindred spirit?~
a union between two spirits~
~seeiing the imperfect person perfectly~
~changing. and continuing to love a changed person~
~depth, beauty, and joy which cannot be found by lookin' or
wishin'. it is destined.~
~to place your happiness in the happiness of another~
~a feeling unknown, unhoped for, unexpected~
~lookin' outward together in the same direction~
~through their presence you can become
the person you want to be~
~angels with only one wing, who can only fly
by embracing each other~
~their whispers go straight to your...

under an angel's wing
i know the meaning of the look in their eyes
saying "pathetic and miserable loser won't try"
i see the exchange of knowing looks they think they hide
i can SEE their judgement...and they think they're wise
you can hear their laughter and giggling screams
as you watch them perform like they live "the dream"
their eyes tell you "your sadness we don't care to see
you better learn to be happy, because that pleases me"
we know the ones who ALMOST try to understand
cause they've fallen too, but found new reasons to stand...

inside out
if super powers were given out
the one i'd take without a doubt
would be the power to see the soul
cause takin' chances is gettin' old
i'd know the intent of all who enter
my world, and know just what they're after
fuck the trustin' and bein' wrong
i'd know who you are all along
when you lied, i'd know right away
and your games, i could choose to go or play
fuck the figurin' what you're all about
i would know you from the inside out

kindred spirit
My kindred spirit took flight....
he made the great escape.
Now my own spirit cannot fly....
until I'm called to the gate.
My wings shall lie broken now....
a solo spirit cannot soar.
Two souls in God's plan laid out....
so now what is my life for?

thoughts of a tortured mom
some people fill themselves with dreams
while others become suicidal freaks
can you guess which is me?
but you don't care, as far as i can see
i begged you for help, and to love me for me
i gave you life and all you did was walk away
you deal with what i've dealt with, but won't stay
forget you all...and take my heart to sell
you kicked me while down, stomped when i fell
you hurt me...just added to all the abuse
you ignore me unless you decide i can briefly be used
i walked up from rock bottom, a path so steep
but you still treated me like dirt...
while others become suicidal freaks

he spoke the word suicide
a smile ~ a laugh ~ a tear ~ a frown
a sad, sad man we knew was falling down
he was falling way too fast
no one seems to notice? no one seems to hear?
for when he put that noose in place
no one happened to be near
he left without a warning? yes, perhaps.
he left without a sign? yes? no? why?
but he tested out places in various areas
for structural strength with a grin in his eyes?
he sent a cry for help out on the wire
but when he didn't call as advised, assume that he's fine?
days and nights on end in a blackened out room
perhaps testing...

all night becomes day
nothing's alright, nothing's the same
why am i supposed to choose life
when you just took your own away?
it's a very ugly place, this fight
you should see, since you left, how i've aged
we were stugglin, but fightin this fight
together...but you gave in, you caved

suicidal tendencies
admiting to life long suicidal tendencies,
i know of none who are willing, or able.
because unlike you and i, they worry dislegacies,
but WE have never been afraid to be labeled unstable.
so many just keep sayin they'll "never understand",
how you could do it, and they call you weak.
but as your kindred spirit, i knew the soul of the man,
they only WISH they had your strength, it's what they seek.
brave, and always noble, in how you would affect others,
simple minded people sayin you've "destroyed the kids".
but i know the pure...
i know of none who are willing, or able.

what about love?
i am willin to give of this love that's within
but is there anyone aware of it's value?
it seems like the whole world gave up and gave in
do any still believe in real love and it's truth?
one friend has said that she's just given up
on domesticity and the idea of endless love
some i see are hinderin themselves, makin it tough
cuz they started playin others, once they'd hurt enough
lately i've not spoken to a single, solo male
who's expressed a desire for a true love tale
except for my son, who found out oh so young
that even in puppy love you're...
but is there anyone aware of it's value?
