Luck is like the weather.
What might seem like a cool and refreshing rain on a hot summer's day,
Can quickly turn into a thunderous storm of misfortune.

Every time the storm comes,
I don't know how to respond .
The people around me can feel it too,
yet I can't do anything to stop it.

Is waiting for it to pass by the only way?
Only to live in fear of its return.
and when it it returns?
What then?

Is it punishment?
Maybe a curse?

How do I fight it?
How do I create a rainbow?

Every day when I see the golden light of dawn,
I try to think of how to be a better person,
Though sometimes I feel like just a pawn,
I know you’ll tell me what should be done.

Even though I’m not sure if I ever even knew you,
When I think about you, I smile.
With you always watching me, I finally know what to do;
Follow your example - even if I lose my way for a while.

I will do my best, you see,
Because my trust of you will never perish.
