A shattered glass
The empty frame
True love broke
A heart to blame

Your mind speaks out
Your body freezes
Your heart takes action
But leaves in pieces

You may be struggling
You may be in pain
To pick up the glass
And say you loved in vain

But to sweep it up
To be that strong
Requires the thought
That your heart was wrong

Love is patient
Love is kind
Matters of the heart
Will blow the mind

Where the mind is at risk
The heart is at fault ...

The room is dark,
The floor is cold.
The thoughts you think,
Are thoughts too old.

You ramble about,
Nobody hears.
You reach for help,
But sink in fears.

Your head is full,
It’s spinning out.
They say that’s fine,
But I have doubts.

They have their dreams,
You have your thoughts..
But these things never last,
For a fight to be fought.

Maybe they will see it,
Maybe they’ll take bait.
I hope they acknowledge,
Before it’s just too late.

I wake to you in the mornings
And sleep with you at night
You follow me in the evenings
And never leave my sight

You whisper to me threats
And curse me to my name
You’ll follow me to death
And leave me like you came

The redness of your eyes
And the darkness of your skin
It tells me all these lies
Over and over and over again

You pull me into your grasp
And hold me beneath your palms
I’ll never get past the past
Though I have done nothing wrong

The sky is dark above me ...

When you see the sunset
What a beautiful sight to behold
But I see the same sunset
And I can already feel the deep cold

You see, we live very different lives
More different than you know
But I can tell you a tiny bit
About my little freak show

At night, you relax into the mattress
Feeling like you can finally breathe
But I feel the pressure and pain everywhere
Pushed against the bed beneath me

When you wake, you feel refreshed
Ready to take on the whole world
I wake, and stretch and crack and moan ...
