NBA's SUPERSTARS (written CY 2003)
This poem reminds me of my High School days, I was a fan, and will always be a fan, of these incredible guys.
U.S. of America is the country,
which really loves basketball play,
it's people called their game NBA,
and play it in a physical way.
Who do you think will get the MVP trophy,
is NBA still Tim Duncan's country?

Having you changes my whole being,
You made me see that I am worth loving,
You made me feel what real happiness is,
You made me realize how beautiful life is.
Your love is the best gift that I received,
It shows me a lot of reasons to live,
And everytime we both lie on our bed,

BEING ME
In this cycle we called life,
There were times that I lied,
So many situations that I hid,
And a lot of feelings that I denied.
Even though it really hurts,
Well, I would say, ‘ohh, it’s nothin’,
And even though it’s not fine at all,
I would still say, “It’s alright”.
Even though I’m really afraid,
And I know that I’m totally scared,
I would still stand straight,
Move on and forget ‘bout it.
Even though I’m in severe pain,
And my heart’s totally suffering,
You would still see me laughing and smiling, ...

You told me once that we are the best couple,
That we won’t care about other people,
That being with me is totally wonderful,
That you’ve given me your heart and soul.
Did I ever say thank you for coming?
For stealing my heart without a warning?
But I’d rather say thank you for staying,
Thank you for never getting tired of chasing.
It feels so good having somebody like you,

WAITING FOR TRUE LOVE
Is it true that patience is everything?
That there is happiness in waiting?
They say it’s just a matter of timing,
No one knows when true love is coming.
My life’s been challenged by heavy rains,
My heart’s been through a lot of pains,
My eyes shed too much tears,
Been in circumstances I thought I couldn’t bear.
Sometimes I’m fooling myself telling I’m numb,
But every time I’m doing it I feel so dumb,

When I’m with you everything is overwhelming,
So everytime you’re away my heart is aching,
Coz every minute it’s you that I’m thinkin’,
And nothing can stop my tears from falling.

A Rainy Day
You wake up feeling so dull and lonely,
You searched around and the room is empty,
Over the window the clouds are gray,
Atmosphere is cold, it’s a gloomy day.
After a li’l while it started raining,
Creating a loud sound on you ceiling,
And while outside it’s heavily pouring,
Deep inside you sad memories started flowing.
An excruciating past still haunting you,
Like a shadow wherever you go,
A nightmare you’re trying to forget,
Giving you nothing but resentment.
Bad memories slowly flashing back, ...
You searched around and the room is empty,

ESCAPISM
Sometimes we are afraid to face reality,
And we want to live in a world of fantasy,
We choose to close our eyes so we can’t see,
And cover our ears so we can’t hear any.
We pretend that we are stronger than others,
That we can handle any kind of struggles,
That we don’t need anybody’s shoulders,
We can live without depending on someone else.
Pretending means covering up the worries,
A mask that hides someone’s doubts and fears,
We are showing a smile to disguise the agony,
Forcing a laugh to reduce the anxiety.

Sometimes the one who’s making you happy,
At the same time is the one hurting you badly,
That is the irony of life and love,
And you must learn to accept that fact.
In a relationship shits really happen,
And sometimes you get your heart broken,
Reality shows that in love nothing is sure,
But find someone who’s worth the torture.
Being hurt once is totally understandable,
In love, there are times we became fool,
But before giving your love to someone else,

DECIDE CAREFULLY
Everything seems a picture of perfection,
As if you got overdosed by a love potion,
You’re heart is so delighted by what you feel,
No pretentions and all things are for real.
But what if things went out of proportion?
If your heart’s in a critical situation?
What if you feel you’re not as happy as before?
If the relationship is healthy no more?
You are now torn between happiness and tears,
If you’ll listen to your pride or to your fears,
You can’t choose what’s the right thing to do,
Whether to hold on or whether to let go.
