Where Is He
At times alone at night, I wonder … will it happen for me?
I see it displayed everywhere
In the movies, in song lyrics, on Hallmark cards,
In the looks that pass between two people
~~~~
Will it happen for me?
Will the one whose smile I can’t live without
Whose touch drives me wild
The one whose arms I want to lie in night after night,
Ever find me?
For now, all I have is this wine glass, my pen
And … hope.

I stand before you

We are mirrored opposites of one another,
In more ways than I could have dreamed.
I trust,
You deceive.
I believe in telling the truth,
You avoid it at all costs.
I have hope for a better tomorrow,
You live only for today.
My heart has love, pure, passionate, giving love,
You love only you.
Inside my heart also resides forgiveness, This my final gift
To you.

We’re Alone Now
We’re alone now, you and I
We’ve dreamed and talked about this
Almost since our first hello
Taking my hand, you lead me
To the center of the room
Your hands slide up my arms…to caress my neck
Looking down at me, your eyes
Filled with tenderness and passion
I see my love reflected there
You step closer into my embrace
With one gentle finger under my chin
You tilt my face to receive your kiss
Mind-searing hunger erupts
I can’t get close enough
Too many clothes … I want them gone
Skin...
We’ve dreamed and talked about this
Almost since our first hello

Autumn
We met in the springtime of our lives
Filled with wonder, passions not to be denied
We lived for the moment
Casting doubts aside
Young love ... it found us...bound us
Through the years we let life calm our adventures, passions and zest for life
Now, we find ourselves in the Autumn of our lives
I watch as the leaves change color ... old drops away to make way for new
Is that what has happened between us too?
As the burnt orange of my hair
Gave way to gray
Has your love .. your...
