A Choir Of One
Sun drips her smile off my cheek
interrupting moments weak
a hummingbird hovers
outside the pane
of my half-opened window
trying to capture the drops
of sugar falling off my lips
but no one wants to hear a choir of one
even if filled with love
notes sour
in an empty breeze
no apparent harmony
salt seeks her home
recover what's seen
backdrop to discovery
Stolen dreams drift off without me
watched under the heat of day
burnt into oblivion
under two-bit glass
cutting at the heart of...

Shining True
Whispers filter out the scent of delusion
the whippoorwills wallow in a waning sun
and thoughts are on the run
The table's set with mix-matched cups and saucers
the best China's soaking in the sink
and I can no longer think
Blame it on blunders ripping at the seams
me not knowing how to sew
I see why you had to go
Closer I get to the daunting haunts
footsteps roam the hall
waiting for your call
Kisses left along with the weekend
breaths sullenly get slower
better off for even knowing her

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

For You I Have Died
Treasures fill a hollow soul
paper-mache filters through the air
from a once rough exterior
and through cardboard eyes
I see the whole world watching
waiting anxiously
for me to fall apart
Blow by blow I crumble ever so slight
moved in ways I have never known
a puppet to the forces of nature
dangling at the end of my rope
there is no hope
as I sprinkle what's left of me
onto a world full of take
Lifeless I lie
for you I have died.

You'll Find Me
Mountain melt trickles a pure innocence
ever closer to her fluent destiny
with each lingering kiss from the sun
Wooded embankments overflow
the ancient river starts to grow
and faster and faster she
pushes her way downstream
Here is where you'll find me
on the side of the bend
at the base of a mighty oak
arising from a seed
splashes falling all around
quenching my need
my need to be free
pushing me to bloom
Here is where you'll find me
growing if only for you
waiting patiently for your soft...

Love Lingers
Sweet melodies serenade my mind away
Times were simple and your smile was sweet
Nighttime flashed across the height of my heart
As your echos hummed along to our once true love
Ambient light flickers in the bare of my soul
And this vision is of two, that were meant to be
Life's pull grabbed hold and we were lost
But these feelings I hold for you remain steadfast
Love lingers longing to be one again
To be your knight fighting for your hand
How I miss your soft and sweet embrace
And the flowing of your mane

Sense Of Serenity
Sunlight rest as so does she
and into the night
a peaceful light streaks
cross hidden bridges
bringing a sullen sense
of serenity to her sleep
And when light returns again
her eyes like gold will shine
and her heart will beat
while be known my thoughts
alone bare her name
into endless eternity
Shadows take a rightful place
sway with grace and ease
a sacred silhouette beheld

Upon Glabrous Skin
In darkest dawn before light does shine
And nature's best come out to dine
My head's awake but my eyes still sleep
The world at peace heard ne'er a peep
Upon glabrous skin my thoughts do rest
Enhanced to beats of your soothing chest
In harmonic flight they ebb and flow
Longing every inch to know
With kisses soft and caresses sweet
From blushed brow to dainty feet
I'll drink you in savor every drop
Pleading for night to never stop
When dawn breaks and I shall wake
Your loving touch with me I'll take
And nature's best come out to dine

Freedom a state I seek
Each moment I lie awake
Another ray filters in rousing
Restless rumours of slumber
Over thinking every move I make
Forgetting nothing but what matters
Mindless muddles of thought never
Erasing an unpleasant past
Leaving traces of me
Along the lonely path
Scattered amongst
The well wishers and
Singers of false praise
Freedom a state I seek
Over time taken away with
Reflections of a younger self

Visions of endless fright
