Road map
I stand before you nude.
Not intended for lewd.
Trace the road maps of scars.
The diamond cut in my foot Ad-Dwar.
Cut on my leg swirl track.
Trapped in wire diving bombs in Iraq.
Scorched flesh on my ab an back.
Fight at the borders of afghan and Iraq.
This stretch of map is a doozy.
Ricochet at firing range in Djibouti.
Three on my chest one on side.
Actually in Texas childhood joy ride.
The funny off shaped star on my neck.
Lightning in Alberta as i passed check.
The scar hidden...

The come out at night.

Is one truly more right.

Decisions
Stuck in the void.
I walk between realms.
With my children I'm over joyed.
Without my wife I'm without hymns.
I reach out to prevent feelings of loss.
Yet I cant shake the way I feel.
Look like I'm owning life like a boss.
Yet a void in my heart want heal.
Life is more complicated then we know.
Wake up everyday a new obstacle.
You just have to pour out your soul.
Learn what matters and what to Cull.

Suffering debriefing
Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight. Seen a fallen angel when it looses flight. Rolled through the vats of hell. Just to return to your piece of heaven and feel like you no longer belong. Can no longer dance cause you can no longer feel the music or hear the song. This wont appeal to all. Some will stop reading quick. In short im not writing for you. I'm writing to reach those who know this pain. The ones who feel they bare much shame. Your not forgotten, there are those who understand. Your hearts not dead your souls not gone. Get up and dust of that sand.

Cowards
Can you hear the voice of the women.
The very ones that are lives are given.
You run around talking your beliefs.
Yet you stand there giving ladies griefs.
When the hell did we loose what it took.
Meant something when hands shook.
You make her fall with no intent.
Leaving her alone to pay your kids rent.
The twisted view of a coward your bent.
Your the type of coward that cant repent
Black woman proud and true.
Loyal to no end so you beat her blue.
White woman bagged that trophy.
Now raising kids you...
The very ones that are lives are given.

So much time in the dark.
Waiting for life to embark.
Step out bold and brave.
Never allow your self to be a slave.
You encountered a beast playing man.
He loved you he couldn't raise his hand.
Let yourself go.
Show yourself the joy you know.
Empower yourself.
Regain your mental health.
Show that true feminine beauty.
Show the woman you are truly.
Stand in the light let him see.
The amazing woman you can be.

Mortality
We are mortal, we live until we die
We try to beat it, we always wonder why
It's our mortality that makes us beautiful
We push to out do, it's never dull
Life is far to short to ideally standby
Search the deeps, soar the skies
In the thought of its haste
I search for things to love none to waste
Race, sexual pref, religion or simple style
No desire to fight, just make worth while
Don't waste life on immorality
Make beauty from your mortality
We try to beat it, we always wonder why
It's our mortality that makes us beautiful
We push to out do, it's never dull

I feel you
I sit alone staring at walls.
Each moment i hear your calls.
Like a whisper in my ear my heart stalls.
I feel your chest in my back.
Your nails in my chest as you scratch.
Upon my neck your lips attach.
Your lips grasp my ear lobe softly.
I turn to kiss you but it's just me.
Tears in my eyes i fall to my knee.
I can smell you in the air.
Still feel the love we share.
That life altering stare.
To hold you one more time.
My desire feels as though a crime.
Now the light in my eye doesn't...

You can always lean on your brother
Never let a man make you feel

Or lose your will

Be that confident woman I know so well

The painful bone crunching sound
