Get Down On It
Somewhere in the city of millions
the clutter and nonsense of the day is being discarded
as people connect in the round of real
not invented virtual space
upload on fun
The distinctions of class and perceived status
wash away
the positivity reeks as the ears are
bombarded with delicious harmony and rhythm
everyone is getting their jam on
The younger folk are tasting the waters of
playing in the public domain
not hemmed in by societal norms
exuberance in the here and now
the higher tones of approval...

Ah the sweet caresses of a lover so divine
enchants, captivates, and beguiles
both the loins and my mind
Oh the scent of woman a true elixir

Not here to throw shade or put someone under a bus
would like a little room to espouse something real
even the most prolific tunesmith is human
you cant dissociate them from what they feel
Many like to pit a Beatle against a Beatle
sad because what always drew them together was love
but there has never been a durable relationship
built solely on the wings of a dove

offering to accompany Ringo to check on his child

While I try not to obsess over inanimate objects
there is one category I do make exceptions
not a car or a laptop, not even my sports card collection
more about a collection of items that has
year after year severed me so well
Not that they don't talk because oh yes they can at my urging
unlike mortals who grow old and eventually pass away
with a little TLC these things never fail to please me
in fact over the years the rewards have grown
