Had this one sitting around for a while...
I fought so hard to become this desirable shell.
Painted perfect face,
Stripped all the real from my hair,
Dress to impress,
Laugh along with empty, well off people.
Kill myself slowly with top shelf.
Blend but stand out.
Get paid to break hearts.
One bad relationship did me in.
Vowed never to trust a man again.
But with Independence comes consequence.
I know this... Always have.
I've built my shell that I so badly wanted, but I've caged myself.
The real world has been seen and shattered my old innocent thinking.
Oh how I wish I could...

Forbidden
I'd tell you all my unspeakable secrets but you gave life to them.
We are the fucked up souls who cause the bright ones heartache.
The same type.. and we deserve nothing, but savagely take everything.
I'm sure the day will come where we will drown in all our regrets, but until then let us be dirt together.
Passion and excitement sitting on both shoulders. No little angel to sway us apart. These late night meetings will burn permanently in our minds. It may be forbidden, but it is damn sure worth it tonight. I'll savor every greedy kiss, appreciate every drop of sweat, enjoy...

Forever Nightmare
Her accomplice is the moon,
Drowning in the starlight,
Overcome with shades of midnight blue.
She dances only with broken souls and damaged hearts...
Entertains hopeless desires,
And those who never got the "part".
The boardwalk of broken dreams is familiar, she'll wander til' she collapses.
It's a shame to know what she should have been, everyone knew but her.
Instead she disappeared into the night.

Poor Thing
Laying in my cold bed,
Staring into a white nothingness walls
The celing light is burning bright,
I fight to see something. Anything.
The colorful glare lights appear from staring to long at the manufactured bulb.
They dance around as my eyes go out of focus.
I start thinking of everything, and nothing.
Lose myself, and just daze off.
Something crosses in my sight path forcing my eyes to again focus.
It's a moth.
I internally curse the damn thing for ruining my trance.
But then I study it.
I watch the moth hopelessly bashing itself into this...

I fight to see something. Anything.

Falling alone
I will poison you with one devious stare.
Wonder will seep through your veins,
Desire will combust in your heart,
The mystery will keep you coming.
And it will stay that way.
I'll dance in your dreams,
I will haunt your thoughts during day.
You'll curse me internally to go away.
And it will stay that way.
You'll only feel alive if I'm around,
Your skin will crave only my touch.
And it will stay that way.
I'm not capable of falling in love.
And it will always stay that way.

Only to remind me

You see, now normally
Walking away is what I do best,
