This world has given me no other option but to be me
And as much as I hate it, I must thank it all
For one can truly find happiness in the dirt between there fingers
Knowing fully that heaven and hell lingers
And the only thing splitting the two
Is everything we have ever knew
There is no bad, no good
Just tasteless, or too salty food
And every tongue tastes different from the last
And yes I have tasted a few at best
Can you stand in front of a mirror and see past yourself
Like a vampire cursed with life
Or are you...

The monster
Hello, There is a monster under your bed
But I know you don't
And when you least suspect it
I shall sink my claws into you
I've sat at wait for so long
Hidden plotting my next move
The air down here
So cool and tempting
And at last there you go
Naively you've let your foot stray
Stray way to far beyond the edge
And I can see your ankle
I shall take my prey
And once I have the foot
I shall not stop
Not till I eat the rest
Who is "ouch, you damn cat?"
That's not me
I'm...
But I know you don't

Man's burden
The days been long, and so full of heat
No salvation and no breeze
I look up, spot clouds sailing heaven
Would love to dip my toes in
Just one time
But I'm cursed to shore, my friends
Must not leave land. Nor sin
And thoigh I hear, the waves of heavens
I must only carry on

Rebirth
It was like crossing paths with a long lost love
But I don't even remember meeting the first time
And as I took my first step
It felt like my last
The last step I'd ever want to take on a dry land unsure of uncertainty
Where everything was cursed with an easy guess
I want that to be the distant memory
Not the horizon
As my first and last step was erased
I felt the land beneath me tremble and give way
My body, still holding my soul
Was sucked in ever so slightly
I feel like it wouldn't let go
But there...

I've got a feeling in mind
Everything is alright
I might see falling skies
At least it'll rain for sometime
