Chain me up with words of love
Shackle me down with acts of passion
I’ll struggle against the desire
Scarlet ribbons tied in bows
Surrendering to the restraints
Digging into my skin
This confinement isn’t torture

Nightmares
Gargoyles heckling
While my limbs are shredded
Pulled from the sockets
And thrown around the room
“This isn’t real” I whisper
To my ghost hovering above
As another shot of pain
Rips through my body
My blood gushes
Filling the room
My detached limbs float
Further away
Reoccurring nightmares
Of my mutilated carcass
The room starts to flood
Drowning me in my own blood
While my limbs are shredded
Pulled from the sockets
And thrown around the room

Ballpoint Pen
The obsidian liquid runs through
The ballpoint pen
It moves with such ease
Caressing the paper
It curls and twists
On the vacant pages
Generating meaning
Ink bleeding into pores
It stains and scars
Milky white sheets
Leaving an impression
A signature
The pens desires
To express
The noir running through its vein
That drips through the ball
At the tip of the ballpoint pen
The ballpoint pen

the emptiness
the emptiness is like a rainstorm
it violently pours down
soaking my clothes
chilling me to the bone
the emptiness is like a dark night
desolate streets
with one lamp post flicking
illuminating vacant pavement
the emptiness is like a cage
trapping me in my own torment
i stick my arm through the bars
clawing for freedom
the emptiness is like nothing
it’s the absence
it’s the unnatural loneliness
it’s the null thudding
it’s the quiver in my voice
it’s the voidness behind...

You have no morals
And no integrity
I made excuse after excuse for you
But you’re an adult
You should have honoured your word
When you said you would never hurt me again
In that way
You should have been able to control yourself
I will not tolerate it anymore
I will not tolerate the mistreatment you dish out
Again and again
Because it will never end
My sympathy and empathy for you is drained
I tried so much
I gave so much
And in return
I received nothing
I can’t change you

I know you’ll break my heart
I know you’ll break my heart
You have already
Before you knew how I felt
We were friends for a time
A short while
A tiny ripple in time
Back then
I was so broken and empty
I needed someone
Anyone
You were cruel
And unkind
Tossing me away
Letting me fall deeper into despair
Years later
When I made something of myself
When I had learnt
And had finally found some self worth
Suddenly I was worth your time
You took an interest
But you didn’t care...
You have already

Do you understand?
I wish I could move you with my words
I wish I could touch your heart
My fingers follow my thoughts
Trying to thread together my feelings
But it comes out all wrong
My words light up your LED screen
Cold and sharp letters
Placed on a surface that will burn your retinas
I wonder if you knew that when I sent that last message
Tears fell onto my screen
The droplets laid bulging
Do you feel the weight of my words?
Or did you just graze the surface
If you would just look in between the lines
There’s so...

Choose: Run or Cry
I rummage around in the corners of my brain
Trying to find the right words to say
How can they not feel what I feel
When it’s so overpowering
It feels like I’m being torn apart
Like my skin is being turned inside out
I clench my jaw and crunch my eyes
As tears roll down
I chant over and over again:
I can’t take it, I can’t take it
All I can feel is this deep suffering
Or passive indifference
Then there’s small pauses in between
Which I label happiness
But it’s merely the absence of pain
...

Hazy memories of sweetness
Interwound with curiosity
Drew me to you
But you left me crying from taunts
And with crimson wounds from torment
Injuries so deep
Scars inside and out
Calling that love is not right
Compulsive thoughts
Left no room for anything else
Gentle pleasures
Twisted
Until sweet turned sour
The romantic lines you would recite
Left me breathless
Filling my ears
Your words intoxicated me
And hit me...

Halloween is my favourite holiday
Halloween is my favourite holiday
Maybe that’s macabre and dark
But it’s funny how holidays like Christmas
Which are about happiness and love
Only fill me with heartache
But Halloween is fun
Instead of me being scared all the time
I can scare other people and they enjoy it
I can dress up
And be whoever I want to be
Because I might superficially resemble
An Angel on top of a Christmas tree
But the real me
Is a ghost - of a person
A vampire - draining everyone’s emotions
A witch - using...
