The Box
Around my neck, there hangs a key,
that unlocks a box that belongs to me.
In this box my secrets kept, and the many
reasons that I have wept.
To open it would bring me joy,
but this old box is no mere toy.
For in it I keep a part of you,
the only part I truly knew.
As I close my eyes and reminisce your
ghost, I hold the box and keep it close.
For fear that you may soon return, to
take it back, this thing interred,
and I just cannot let that be,
that you would take this box from
me, because with it we’ll never be apart, ...

The Piano Player
The piano player sat alone amongst
the grass and trees.
He cracked his knuckles and placed
his fingers upon the broken keys.
He gave a sigh and shed a tear as he
slowly began to play,
And all the trees within the forest
they did begin to sway.
The darkest melody began to rise,
and ride upon the wind,
Carried to the ears of angels to
remind them of their sins.
Come bring me your broken souls
the piano player sang,
And one by one the angels came,
to purify their name.
Removing his hat to reveal his horns, ...
