Can you feel it?
The darkness
As it surrounds you
It suffocates you
Its killing you
And you know it
But you like it
Don’t you?
The way it makes you feels
The way it fills you up inside
The way it protects you
You love it
But you don’t want to
Do you?
It started off as a little sadness
Then it became loneliness
Then it grew
And grew
And grew
Till it became depression

They witnessed her destruction,
Then were left to wonder why,
She saw nothing but darkness,
Though the star shone in her eyes,
But maybe they’d forgotten,
When they failed to notice the cracks,
That a star’s light shines the brightest,
When it starts to collapse.

We applaud our troops
Who went to war
Fighting for our freedom
But why’d they have to go you ask
Well that’s a question
Still unanswered
Why did we bomb innocent lives
over in japan?
Why did our grandparents
Have to die
Shedding the blood
If innocent men
