POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I do not compose the poems. They come to me on their own accord. I simply jot them down on paper.
Ever
When the day has ended and the sun has set,
What will happen to all the people I've met,
To the world that I know, and to all that I love
When the sun finally ceases to rise above?
Will the scent of flowers fade into nothing
Birds once full of glee never to sing again?
What shall the curious end that comes bring
If not spring nor winter but the season's end?
To smell the fragrance of an unending youth
And to tread upon the keys of life's notes
What will they be after the unraveling of the truth?
Shall I merely become the dust...

Life is an ocean
A place devoid of light and all other sounds
Beside its own deep and monotone beat
As you sink deeper, the void becomes more dim
And you can hardly keep sight of your own feet.
Life and all there is to it is an ocean
It's all around you, in your ears, on your skin
You reach to try and grasp it with your hand
Tantalized as it eludes your fingers thin.
You sink slowly and soothingly into the deep
Into the mystery of what lies beneath
You'll probably never know
The water may already be the river Lethe
You may try to swim back to the...

We are the grass
We are the grass that grows
And smiles at the naked sun;
Subject to the wind that blows,
And leaves this world but none.
We smile for every radiant dawn
And cause the gloom of rain
But happiness does lie upon
The sentimentality of pain.
Stars envy the growing grass
Their world, their joy and grief
And how life comes only to pass
Making beauty timeless, not cease.
And when the twilight comes
To light everything that is real
The sound of reality drums
And we feel all there is to feel.
And smiles at the naked sun;
Subject to the wind that blows,
And leaves this world but none.
We smile for every radiant dawn
And cause the gloom of rain
But happiness does lie upon

From the moon
Dust of rocks, the soil of the night,
In this place of beautiful sights
You take a step slowly, albeit
You're lifted high
In the land of flight.
From this view absent of blinding light,
The world you know is rather trite,
Consumed in the dark of evil's might
Half azure, half misery
In the land of human plight.
Then why go back to seemingly
Enjoying life in utter hypocrisy
When I can stay and forever be
The man living on
The sea of tranquility?
In this place of beautiful sights
You take a step slowly, albeit
You're lifted high
In the land of flight.
From this view absent of blinding light,

Hold on to me
I tried to look back at a simpler time
When I was young and you were mine.
We had love, young love ever so free,
But you had never taken a hold of me.
"Wish you did", I said with a smile
Gazing into eyes with tears of the Nile
Flowing like the falls of Rolling Thunder
Splitting sense, day and night, asunder.
I was the air longing to be held
To be tied down and to melt into arms
That would hold me forever, well
Away from another temptress's charms.
Dreaming of roads, dreams of dreams,
I had dreamt of possibilities in...

Late night
I stayed up and brewed some coffee
With the moon lighting me a grin
I said "hi, don't you look lovely"
And the moon replied "oh what a little sin."
I stayed up and read a book
With the wind blowing me a breeze
I said "hi, but I can't as much as look"
And the wind replied with a wheeze.
I stayed up and drew the night
With a song sung by the trees
I said "hi, the moon's out bright"
And the trees replied:
"Along with a night's breeze."
With the moon lighting me a grin
I said "hi, don't you look lovely"
And the moon replied "oh what a little sin."

Regress
The words are coming in like darkness.
I can feel it consuming me once more.
The world I built, I feel its regress
Back to the world I've written before.
Its shattering the glass of my pupils
Diluting the shade of my black iris
And like the past it terribly fills
Myself with pain and dubious wills
I can feel the blood thinning inside
As I grow like the air after the rain,
Colder, I'm aware that within my mind
There's nothing other than the thought
of pain.
I can feel it consuming me once more.
The world I built, I feel its regress
Back to the world I've written before.
Its shattering the glass of my pupils
Diluting the shade of my black iris
And like the past it terribly fills

Another night
Another night, another dream
To be dreamt while awake
I sat by the tall, green grass
And looked up to see stars.
Deneb, Altair, Vega, every night
Shining beautifully, and bright
Like a dream so beautiful and yet
Dimming by her greater gleam.
I wish she could’ve been there
To see the summer triangle glow
With me and all of my feelings
That I could only wish her to know.

What is mine
You're there again by the edge of the bed
With your head down and teary eyes.
You try to feign a smile as hard as you can
But end up filling the ocean with your pain.
This is the scenery that is set tonight:
The night is black, it's pitch black
And that's all there is and ever will be.
It's not a night anyone else has.
"It's mine."
Nothing good will ever come out of it.
You know it only gorges on whatever good,
the only good, that life has to offer
And it is always gorging on whatever good
...

Farewell
Dew = poems
leaves = literary pieces/works
The leaves are hung,
The spirit consoled
And with every word carved
Onto the bark to be told
Beholds the new sky
Above the grassy barren;
Herald of the new dawn.
From hereon,
The dew shall be missed.
It shall remain in the air
Of Time's shadow
And never will the dew fall
From the oblivion of days past.
So the empty filled,
The tree solaced
And what was once long lived
And lived only to long
Now bids farewell. ...

Impale my love for you
Impale my love, I offer my soul
I will to die into our forever
To walk the path of Death's every pole
And prove my love; my only endeavor.

To walk the path of Death's every pole
And prove my love; my only endeavor.

Our eyes cross
Our eyes crossed in the vast night
And I cannot decipher if for fright
Or something else had her make time stop...
And I skipped a beat and lost breath.
She felt something, I knew,
She felt something she feared
Could it be true?
That as her brows stressed
And her eyes worried
Mirrored to me her fear of love.
She made me sweat and I regret
Ever turning my head
To see an angel bewildered as she!
Could it be I? Could it be I?
Do stars really cross for a reason
Far greater than but mere season?
And I cannot decipher if for fright
Or something else had her make time stop...
And I skipped a beat and lost breath.
She felt something, I knew,
