POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I do not compose the poems. They come to me on their own accord. I simply jot them down on paper.
Mirror
I wiped off the tears of piercing eyes
And caressed the cheek so drenched
With tears fallen from great tempests,
I know this may be the last time I do.
Bound from being a long term company,
I am fettered to be forever of no benefit.
It is my greatest displeasure to my soul
That I may not give a hand to that man
Is it a burden or is it an incredible honor
To be the comfort only one may desire?
The rest for scars of one only I can give
When I stand before my own mirror...
And caressed the cheek so drenched
With tears fallen from great tempests,
I know this may be the last time I do.
Bound from being a long term company,

Christmas eve
Moonbeams gleam through windows
As the smell of lit candles pervade
Wintry wind sings a song as it blows,
A carol so special and Christmas made.
In the midst of the night, stars glisten
Receiving heartfelt prayers, yearns,
On this enchanted eve of the season
Men forget to count ones’ annual earn
Siblings of the world, open your heart
Believe not in defenses, not your sword.
Lay down your rifles; war is not an art
And close your eyes to praise the Lord
As the smell of lit candles pervade
Wintry wind sings a song as it blows,
A carol so special and Christmas made.
In the midst of the night, stars glisten
Receiving heartfelt prayers, yearns,
On this enchanted eve of the season

Memory of an embrace
My breath, inhibitions, everything, gone;
Nothing is left of me, except happiness.
Nothing but a smile brighter than the sun
Shall be seen upon me and nothing less.
It was on a December day, a deity of Love
Stood before me upon my giddy calls,
I gave her my confidence and from above
Lights beamed down, breaking my walls!
Oh, she allowed her arms to move asunder,
Wrapped them around me in a calming…
Embrace. One would make all men fonder
Of this thing called “life’s true meaning”
If it may, Time, let it replay again for me

Splish splosh! Oh the glimmer.
Adorn you may on the shine.
Friend, it can't be any cleaner
So I'm proud that it is mine.
To think of it now, dear
We too have tied the knot
And so habits' now growing near,
Grime can be on you not!
Allow me to lay magic fingers
With a grin right on my face-
To immolate where dirt lingers
And time shan't be put to waste!
Simmer simmer, oh, it's normal.
Dear, you never looked better;
The acid's made you smell floral
Not only that, you're now whiter!
Oh my, your eyes have dried out-
Great! They...

To chase rainbows
To wonder, to desire,
To dream of love,
What to love and the latter
Are meant for tales;
Never for other than fiction.
Yet to chase rainbows,
Banes of the wistful,
Does sound enticing-
And I would remain timeless
And sound in fantasies.
And I may be groggy
and not at all pensive;
My words still make some sense
In my wildest fantasies.

Flower
I was walking by the sidewalk today
Without a single care in the world
But then I stopped along my way-
By the sight of a flower slightly curled,
Beautiful amongst the silence of day
When there is nothing to steal senses.
Simplicity tickles delightedly if it may-
Bestowing a smile, mitigating defenses.
Enchanted, it shall be mine to keep
Forever to be mine that I may be happy.
Though, if I do come to decide to reap
What gift would it be to the grassy
fields and my flower to be in captivity?
Without the beams of the radiant sun ...
Without a single care in the world
But then I stopped along my way-

Dusky alleyway
Men best beware of dubious shadows;
Oblivious eyes are let to die young.
There they lurk with clouds for toes,
The demons that refuse to die hung."
Lights flicker from disused lamp posts,
Heavy breaths overwhelm my movements,
Step after step, a malevolent host
Stalks. With perspiration to augment.
Tap tap tap on this concrete path
I shan't anticipate; desperation won.
Tossed my luxuries for Circumstance hath-
Accepted Lucifer's bidding to be done.
Worn brick walls on either sides,
Walls covered in moss and...

Heaven's seas
I had a dream once upon my youth
With paintings o'er head; seas of blue!
And serene scapes no different from truth
Where the unused ships sail seas a new.
I wish to set foot on deck so free
And be a mate along side Captain.
So free, untroubled, let it be me
With He making the embark happen.
Oh, I had this dream, a soulful yearn
Whilst looking through glass in pensive thought
"The heaven's seas shall be my life's earn"
That is my goal, all else is for naught.

As I embrace you
Hush for the night, stay still, stay quiet
Close your eyes and feel the warmth
Under the blanket sheets of a blizzard
As I embrace you, letting our souls merge.
I love you with a might o’er those of heroes
Who too stepped foot upon lush grass
‘Neath the beguiling night seen in darkness
I shall love you ever more, everlasting.
Smile, dear, melt the covering snow away
The frost of mine, the one that covers me
Give me confidence and let the pasture sparkle
Like it did ere the time of your engagement

Let me lament
With past hopes of being happy,
My smile once unwavering, fell with tears.
And I put down my pen of romance,
Ink only meant for enchanted lovers,
And without reason to not be pensive
I smirk upon my overachieving dreams:
“To love and be loved was not far,
It’s there over the horizon I repeat.
She smiles at me, I’m coming soon
To a forever where our eyes will meet.”
Sighs slip through my tattooed grin-
An ironic grin upon my deceiving face
To smile in front of the face of death!
Knowing it costs my dignity aside from soul.
And within the...

A rose in a clay vase
My eyelids have grown heavier by the day,
My breath, it’s as if I’ve eaten a corpse.
Oh, a letter, “bail will have another delay”
And again my stationary smile will warps.
Before these rusted bars I depressingly linger
Awaiting the sun to quickly finish his waltz
And I, I shall not move more than a finger
Lest I do something other than reflect on faults.
Though I manage to tilt my head to my side,
The bright light that meets my eyes is blinding
But I will not avoid it, I will not at all hide
For I’ve found something I have been finding.

Be my partner
A smile is bestowed upon her, a gift,
She leans her cheek upon her hand
Squints her eyes and lets angels sing!
Truly a mold given time by the divine
And there, safeguarded yet dreaming
On that balcony where she awaits the prince
Lights shine down from above her, gleaming!
And it seems as if I’ve loved her ever since
Oh damsel, let me be the one!
Let me be the one to take your hand
To guide you through dance, be it done-
With love as our chaperon, keep it grand.
Please do not settle down with one
I shall share your hand in...
