Too Far for Love to Stretch
I’m in love with the idea of love, and I’d be crazy to think that I’m crazy about you. But boy, do I want to. I want to be in love with you, with the way you breathe, with the colour of your eyes and the curve of your smile. I want to fall in love with the sound of your voice and the feel of you beside me, but I can’t . . . because I’m not. . . And because you are never here long enough for me to fall.

I Am Lovely
I am lovely!
The sound of my voice makes angels sing
I am beautiful and wonderful
My thoughts bubble from the ground like a spring
The promise of my presence
Fills the world with jealous peasants
Adolescents wanting to copy my essence
Their parents asking me for lessons
As they make their penance for lacking acceptance
My luminescence eclipsing their presence
Everyone’s just fighting for heaven or antidepressants
I am Lovely!
or at least that’s what I’ve been told
people always tell me
You are Beautiful!

Forgive, Don't Forget
Please tell me
Does it make you feel grand
To hurt me
To make me feel so bland
I can tell you right now
I never really understood much
Why I quivered at your touch
But now I see
It's the it's meant to be
You taught me a great lesson
Always forgive but never forget
The way you hurt me or how we met
But always forgive the past agression.

Human Kind
What makes us so strong?
You think it's muscels, your wrong
The thing is we all have it
It's courage and true grit
We never give up without a fight
We follow our path believing in the light
And though some may stray
In the end they'll be okay

Animosity
Animosity is present now
As the lone lion takes it's bow
Anguished wolves howl in the night
While misty eyes cry softly in fright.
Their weary bones ache at the sight
Of all the pain, the worst is the light
Seeping slowly into every minuscule crack
Fighting hard against the tears they choke back
When all is revealed, expunging pitch black
They are shown the world’s awful drawback
Try as they might, none can save
Their little angel, once a slave
Fear encircles a small grave
As people...

The fake smiles the insincere laughter
All to hold back the tears that came after
You left me, I know it's been years
But I can't help the tears
They tell me to get over it to just say goodbye
