I write because I'm passionate about 2 things. The written word itself and well...Life is a series of trade-offs. If I can't keep my heart, But I am doomed to keep its secrets I can at least write about it.

I’d like to say
I’d like to say- it was a difference of opinion.
I could say we are incompatible because of religion.
I can use examples of boundaries that were crossed
Or a lack of respect, you simply brushed off
But when we get to the heart of the matter
It really boils down to you couldn’t love me better.
Maybe-you don’t know how
Maybe you lost interest-in the here and now
I wish I could say we could fix things through our approach
Or we can heal that which matters most
The truth is that we are just very different

Hourglass
I wasn’t your future
I was only a moment
This secret I held, was one you didn’t
I knew in this hourglass of life, I was only a minute
Make out sessions in the parking lot
Sitting on the trunk and you pulling me in
For one last goodnight kiss
We talked for hours
then came those late nights together in the shower
You worshipped my body and called me your goddess
But it was only a moment, til the future moved on without us
I knew in this hourglass of life, I was only a minute
and that you’d be ok...

The Stranger's Wife
Touching the mirror, I look in
My hand on the other side, a beautiful friend
In my life, I reflect
On all I lost and all that's left
So full of life, is the girl on the other side
She knows not, what is to come in her life
I could choose to tell her, the terrors
Or lie to her, that it will be better
I see, she has hopes and dreams
To put out that light, has no purpose it seems

Or her drowning her sorrows in Malibu Rum
Should she know, she'll only be able to cry 3x in a...

A wife's Fable
You were Superman, I was your Lois Lane
You were like Spiderman, I was your Mary Jane
Together I felt like the Princess of Power
To rule by your side with a crown of honor
You're not Peter Parker
I'm not Mary Jane
You are the Joker
And I am a game
I was your Dr. Of sorts, but couldn't make you sane
This counseling session ceased within the hour
And I'm not your princess, with any sort of power
I'm not the Lois to your Clark
And I now know the Knight is getting Dark
This wonder of a woman, 9 lives...

Some say the earth is flat, we know it's round
Some say when you get lost, that's when your found
And some say every cloud has its silver lining
Some say fate is all about timing
And tears are just an irritated chemical reaction
And love is just infatuation
But I've felt security when wrapped in your Arms
Never has a voice, held so much charm
And home never felt so real

Split
My heart is split in two.
And it's all because of you.
I could blame you for what I gave up
What I took for granted. Standing with tears and empty handed.
The foolish notions
A naive girl, one who split and tore,
clawed at the world.
Dreams, a fantasy,
she broke. she bled. scarred for eternity.
Now standing here holding what she's never had and split in two cause she can't go back.
And all the things she took for granted haunt her day and night.
Should she stay with a man who loves her the way she's always wanted
or leave and...
And it's all because of you.

But he holds my hand-UPDATE- he was a liar and I have poor decision maker. Sweet talker- no knight-a loser in tinfoil
He calls me beautiful
Wants to hold my hand, thought my snoring was cute, even my drool on his arm
I'm thinking this guy has gone nuts
Til he stares in my eyes
and says he's never seen anything more beautiful than mine
He says he is a romantic but not the normal kind not likely to bring flowers but instead chocolate and fries
I guess that's his idea of wooing
And it's nice to know
He enjoys my company even if my legs are closed.
And says he watches too many kids shows
That's why he's giving me Eskimo kisses on my nose. And after...

He was a Greeter at the Spring Hill Walmart, a member of the Church of the city in Spring Hill, where he would greet people and direct parking. You may have known him from the Antique car club, or maybe you met with him every Friday for coffee or knew him from his Bible study group. Im ready now
I never thought this day would come, where I could be at peace with my decision
Loving people doesn't always make sense, nor is there always a reason
the heart can want what it wants, and the mind can think as it does
But after an epiphany, a doubt of resolve, is no longer what it was
To know I loved you once and I loved you again
To know you never did, makes it hard to be your friend
But as the saying goes, Big girls don't cry
its no longer about you...but me, myself, and I
I could say a million things, tell you each and every thing that hurt me
But what...

Reflection
They say before you die
Your whole life flashes before your eyes
I hope that time is long from now
That I can grow somehow
Reflection of so many choices, threw me on another path
Some decisions rooted from wrath
I was delusional at times
Traded my wealth for a few dimes
Took too heavy the burdens i had
Little things that made me mad
Now I'm reflecting on the big picture
Now I know you'll always be with her
But there will never be a time for us
Cause it's her you love and her you trust
And if I'd known then what I now know

Giving up what can I say it's what I do
Strength when alone you're still fighting 2
Who you are who you want to be
Sacrifice for conveniency
What can I say, my reward for my sacrifice
Just isn't enough to suffice
