You went to travel distant lands
somehow setting your spirit free
in your doing what you needed to
you sailed off, and away from me
Didn't deal well with your leaving
many words of anger, said by me
my fault, I've always been a storm
But I've never been a calm blue sea
Sad tears have soaked many pillows
over my what if's, about us you see
heartache for the love always present
for the part of you that belongs to me

Will you meet me there, in my dreams tonight
even with the knowledge, that this is not right
Will you meet me there, and cross that line
to a place where I am yours and you are mine
Meet me there, where our boundaries are shattered
where what the two of us need is all that mattered

no betrayal committed toward the lives we've built

thoughts buried deep within
imagination running wild

Farewell for now, you've gained your wings
we are left with hearts full of sadness
it is hard to believe you're not with us now
but our memories of you fill us with gladness
Farewell for now, and thanks to you Debbie
for the kindness and compassion you displayed
for your laughter that was surely contagious
for all the love that you have always conveyed
Farewell for now, friends and family will miss you
none more than the sons, who filled you with pride
no one will ever forget you or your beautiful smile
