POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I just enjoy writing if my mind allows me to. Nothing serious.
Bird's Eye View
Finches sat upon telephone wires
Like tight rope walkers without a pole
If I tried my hand at their relaxation
I'd lose both balance and control
They chirp away their songs of warning
To coalesce their greatest fear
That I am near
Soon they will depart onto the next perch
Nomadic ventures to warmer climates
Flying toward their mirth in guidance
In seasons passed
Rewinded efforts
They'll migrate back
To reappear
To find once more
Upon their landing
That I am still right...
Like tight rope walkers without a pole
If I tried my hand at their relaxation
I'd lose both balance and control
They chirp away their songs of warning
To coalesce their greatest fear
That I am near
Soon they will depart onto the next perch
Nomadic ventures to warmer climates
Flying toward their mirth in guidance
In seasons passed
Rewinded efforts
They'll migrate back
To reappear
To find once more
Upon their landing
That I am still right...

Still Here/Here Still
Here I write, just to write
Nothing particular to mind
Sitting in the beginning of night
Yet it's been far too long
Here I sit, as not stand
Off my feet, into my hands
Continuing with nothing planned
Silence sings her song
I have been
Far too gone
I must be
Often wrong
One more time
Then I'm gone
Again
Once upon
On the cross
We need the wood
Now get lost
Termite dust
Worm rot
Begins
Here I am, just to be
No set stanza
No flow too free
Here I...

Venus Falling
I watch Venus rise... again
Just in the depths of the light's change
As she dances on the rim
If I take a peek... is it sin?
Deep breaths within an ice age
Frost on the horizon
She, comes out of her shell
Mezmorizes, light guided
As the sea starts to swell
The pearl, shall prevail
I'm binded by your highness
There she goes. Farewell.
Just in the depths of the light's change
As she dances on the rim
If I take a peek... is it sin?
Deep breaths within an ice age
Frost on the horizon
She, comes out of her shell
Mezmorizes, light guided

I'm binded by your highness
There she goes. Farewell.

Blanks
Pressed within all these rules
Listening like the fools
As life fades away in decay
Rigamortis day after day
The years start to siphon
As they steal my iron
Fills me full of lead
Graphite as my weapon's drawn
It's difficult to holster
Each hour starts to bolster
Thoughts fill my head
Graphic images of dying dawns
What shall we use, to fill the empty spaces?
Pencil snapped in two, still erases
Any traces of imagination's figment
Within it, I question my existence
Have I ever been here? ...

Dreams of Sleep
Moonlight shimmering in gleam
Goodnight withering in dream
My eyes awake, it all goes dark
Silver highlights to learn
River jackknifes in turn
The sky partakes to flow in spark
So long
The night is gone
A new dawn
Yawn in song
As I awake
In this new day
To partake
In life's embrace
I shall see
What may be
To think of sleep
And dream of me
Goodnight withering in dream
My eyes awake, it all goes dark
Silver highlights to learn

The sky partakes to flow in spark

I shall see
What may be

Starseed
Planted in the empty
With the unknown void of what might bloom
The very soul within me
Shining between miracle and gloom
Sprouts of twilights
Glimmering nectar
Heavenly roots
Weaved in it's venture
Blossoming stars
Growing together
Cosmic ties
Ultimately severed
Destiny of the spore
A fate canopied like creation
As the nova roars
Shattering the noxious precipitation
Galactic echoes
Fragmented depths
Budding fractals
Flowering death
Razor leaf ...

Azura
Azura in stone
I can feel your presence
Guiding me through
Twilight from dusk
Hold my soul as you hold the sun and moons
Cresent gem
To sway the tides of my path
Destiny chosen
Sword forged
The dawn begins on my task
In my glory announced
Unbeknownst of my fate
I shall sleep in this armor
This armor of light
Shadow succumbs to blade
In the depths that we wade
This magical land
To shores afar
I shall grasp the meaning ever onward
Blessed by Azura's Star

Ample Rambles
Encyclopedia of useless knowledge
Vibrant in homage
Topped with a garnish
Reigns from the aforementioned
All these lies that I promise
Decorated in trauma
Sounds like peace, smells like carnage
A genius of aphorism
A pilgrim of village
A victim of pillage
Two with a glass of water
Drowned in sorrow
Excuse my spillage
I apologize your honor
But your judgements are hollow
Reaped, sown, and tillage
Hostage of children
Garbage and lineage
Sausage and pigskin
Lost on a...

Nature's Potion
Blessed Thistle
Purify my land and home
As we both grow in our places
Knowing one another
Claiming each as something that makes us ours
Dragonthorn
Purified by ash and bone
As we both know our faces
Another one knowing
Giving to our scars
Water Hyacinth
Reaches through the water for the sky
As we both look up above
One knowing another
Stretching from afar
Eagle feather
Seeking untarnished reasons why
As we both can't get enough
Two unknowns
Destined for the stars
Purify my land and home
As we both grow in our places
Knowing one another
Claiming each as something that makes us ours

Children of the Defeated
Oh, how the mighty have fallen
Generations of weight strapped to our backs
Deformed spines to hold the pain of past labors
Twisted like the nails we drive
Oh, how the unwanted are calling
All lamenting in wait and strapped for cash
Reformed minds to the gain of last favors
Guilted as they hell they ride
The steam starts to rise
Emotions boiling over
Hobbling out of their corners
Strapped to the teeth like soldiers
It's their world to burn
They made it
It's their earth to turn
Frustrated

Fool's Gold
An abundance of riches
Glittering in stupidity
Gold fools
Dancing in their misery
Find a name
Point finger
Start to blame
Hide the shame
Dismiss
Repeat again
A hoard of currency
Spent upon the empty
Stripped tunnels
Only full of self pity
Sunken mine
Dull without a glimmer
Hollow mind
Matte convinced of shimmer
Thoughts left thinner
Shallow and non-waded
A penny for your thoughts
Simpleton aggravated
Tunneled vision
On track
Given decision...
