Looking for the Sun
This is a story of the fight for survival. The fight to find light.
The cold frigid air was making it hard to breathe. I hadn't found any place where it was warm for a while now. Ever since the sun went out, the world has been in chaos. My mother told me that she loved me right before she was shot. People were desperate for food and killed each other over it. Being an empath
I think about more than just me
I don't ever really sleep
I keep thinking about everyone's pain
That hits me pretty deep
I think of all the hate
I think of what I could do
But I can't think of anything
I don't have any clue
I know others better than I know myself
I don't know how to feel
I don't have any thing to say
I don't know how to heal
I'm not one who cares about what I need
I might be talkative but I'm not really speaking
I might seem ok but I am not
The truth is all I keep seeking

Invisible to the eye
We are pulled from every which way
No chance to ever escape
No matter what words we say
The chains will never break
Fighting an unwinnable battle
Dreams crushed into little pieces
Herded along like cattle
Completely hypnotized
Let's give life to the darkest light
Give your heart to those in need
Give those who can't see sight
Be someone's friend to help them believe
We lose fights while alone
We give up when it seems impossible
The signs won't be shown
Your dreams they weren't plausible...
No chance to ever escape
No matter what words we say

What is hope?
Hope is the belief you can be something
Hope is believing in the unknown
Hope is a beautiful thing to see
Children live life with no regret
Why do we regret what we do?
Why do we doubt ourselves?
Why can't you just be you?
We all have our dreams as a kid
Did they come true?
Do you like who you are?
Is this what you wanted to do?
We lose hope when things are tough
We hide from what we fear
We are afraid to make one step
Even when the path seems clear

Days will pass you by
Questions, you ask yourself why
Why do people alway lie
Why do the one's you love die
Broken glass within your soul
Pain in life takes a toll
Fate you may not control
You could be apart and never truly whole

I'm honestly modestly trying to create my policy
My fallacy flawlessly is completely faultlessly
My mind thoughtlessly unconsciously will create words implausibly
My thinking unlawfully dishonestly was heard raucously
My igniter, my lighter will make things burn brighter
I'm a writer, outsider, and a winning prizefighter
I'm a collider, end of the divider, and the ultimate decider
I'm a provider, one useful confider, and your friendly self rider
Too much lumber, I encumber and become a lost forgotten tumbler
It's a bummer, end...

Why does the destination seem too far?

Why can't I forget my pain?
Why is it driving me insane?
Why can't I find my way?
Why is it the same every day?
I'm all alone with nobody by my side
I'm right there no where to hide
My whole mind continues to divide
My hope seemed to fail to provide
I'm opening an unmarked door
I'm learning what my life is for
I'm writing my own internal lore
I'm questioning if there could be more
I'm a light in the endless night
I have eyes but I have no sight
I'm the flame that can't seem to ignite ...

I'm looking for a resolution
I'm trying to find a new solution
My mind is full of endless pollution
My thoughts are moving in a revolution
My enemies want their retribution
They begin the prosecution
They threaten execution
They want to put me in an institution
I'm hopeful for complete absolution
They don't give me any restitution
They might as well as start the electrocution
To them I'm not a contribution
I'm the opposite of evolution
I'm a pointless substitution
I want to help with distribution
