POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I'm Dillon, I write mostly sad or unhappy and love poems, I love to branch out into the weird though.
Righteous Lipstick Colors
I feel more alone when I'm near you
Some days I haven't a care in the world
Others my stomach tightens and I don't know what to do
Trapped in a three color five point mould, thinking
What I'm going to do the rest of my days
I'm young but I'm so lost, in a sea of found
I'm the person who falls in the grass and just lays
Waiting for the most beautiful of sound
And watches the clouds go by in the sky
Thinking too much about pointless shit
Wondering if one day I may just up and die
Feeling the running water of sorrow in...

Thoughts
Not a day goes by where you don't cross my mind
Flash into there for a split second.
And my stomach tightens for a minute
At the memories and all we shared
Like a wind brushing over me
Remembering everything perfectly
Trying to figure out why its still there
Why I can replay that day and it's out come
Perfectly like a movie in my mind.
Maybe I've yet to encounter a connection
Quite the same since.
Maybe there's more to it I don't understand
Maybe I'm lost in my own little land
A foreign land, tricking myself to think a certain...

Oh, Dreamland
The darkness fills the air outside my window
As I lay my head to rest on thine pillow
The foot of the bed, lest lost to the lands
My bed sheets draping me for lost hands
While I slumber and the Luna glows from the sky
Many shadows cast on thee mesmerized where I lie
While unknown pictures invade into my conscience
Of the windswept fields of metropolis behind eyelids
Holding out a hand to the sun where a waterfall flows
Wrapping itself around my soul and transforming the snow
Which float to the heavens as I walk on the flowers of tomorrow

Decisions Over Light Hearted Conversations
I want to be more than friends with you
Maybe you're afraid, like someone better
I don't know but I know the things I want
and it's to get to know you the best I can
Love you as much as possible
and give you everything I can
But I know you don't view me in that light
Maybe I should cut my losses before I hurt myself
Before I get myself stuck, I knew what I was going into
How much it took for me to just first talk to you
I want you to know everything of me
but the wind eventually will come by
and knock over my glass castle
and you'll slowly...

The Freedom of being Lost
Open this and play it while reading this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEG9qd5q8ms it was the inspiration for this.
If I was a bird, I could just escape
Feel the wind flowing above the landscape
Realities and occupations left behind
I would fly to the highest mountains in the skyline
Just sit and watch the world for a time
My eye reflecting the clouds moving in a line
But eventually the memories would come back
The girl I liked, the what if, the answers I lack
Is my family doing okay?
My mind would wander day by day ...

Unknown Life: Part 3 The Beginning
Part two is a fantasy poem that can be found here http://deepundergroundpoetry.com/poems/104075-unknown-life-part-2/
We raised the sails on the mast and allowed the ship to catch the wind and begin its journey. Where we were headed was the east. For what reason, I don’t think many of us knew but the captain proclaimed it from a dream after waking up covered in sweat and wearing but long johns, running out into the stone cobble streets uttering of a lost city. He also spoke of a library containing gold lined books with all the knowledge of the world. We all thought he...

Lost and Found
I don't think I can understand myself anymore
Understand why nothing ever seems to work right
Why relationships just fall apart
Why I'm always scared of the end right from the start
Maybe I'm just scared of love
Scared that it opens you up so much
Least I made some friends
But I need more than a friend
Maybe I've just been hurt so much before
Hurt myself instead of walking through the door
Why every once in a while I feel so alone
When someone is right there in front of me
But I can't reach them
Why I can't trust right away or open up right...

The Small Town
In the twisted woods of the damned
A small remote town outside of the view of commoners
Where strange activities happen none the worse
In the day time the folks are happy and gay
But in the twilight, things become worse than they say
The night gives host to creatures most foul
Demons not of this time or era
Shadows of the past, Perhaps gods of the future
Where one day a straggler poet, loss for direction
Sought shelter in the happy summer section
Greeted by the happiest of folks
Put up in the old hotel by the old woman host
Where he awoke at...

Welcome to Madness
My head hurts so much now
The voices and the pictures are too loud
Too obscure just telling me to what to do
I scream to shut them out but they come in slews
What I see what the normal world could not understand
I’m watching as the mirror becomes a hand
Unknown trees growing from the land
I breathe out smoke that takes different shapes
My skin falling off into the openness of space
A door in the wall leading nowhere
Open it and appear sitting in a chair
Sweat dripping from my brow and my eyes wide
Hands grabbing at my sides
The clock...

A Kids Imagination
Standing in the fields by the water
The sun shining down from the heavens
A day like today there is no other
The wind softly singing through the trees
The birds flapping by through rays
The gentle buzzing of bees
I see my reflection as I walk up to the edge
Staring at myself as tears fall like rain
The next minute I'm falling from the ledge
Grabbing for anything at that second in vain
As I open my eyes to the earth floating
and I'm floating next to a ship in my suit
The tears are gone and I'm happy at peace
My mission to stop an...

Scared Heart
It's like I've forgotten what to do again
This tightening anxious feeling in my stomach
Just because I want to see you again
I've wanted to kiss you but I don't know why I can't
Maybe I'm scared again, yet you seem like the person
Who could hold me up after so long of fighting
Fighting not to be down anymore
Trying to change my unhealthy ways
I know you don't understand right now
But I'll find a way to tell you
I'll find a way to tell you it all
I'm just afraid you'll give up on me
Before I get a chance to say it
I want to experience the sun...

Unknown Life: Part 2
Part 1 can be found here, originally a short fantasy poem http://deepundergroundpoetry.com/poems/2368-unknown-life-part-1/
The shade of the trees ever growing through the darkness
Trees of hands, reaching for one another but never able to touch
In the night sky a face clearly visible, a face of no discern
No recognition but one who watches this world, maybe a creator
With one eye in the shape of the moon and one a fiery sun
Maybe someone trapped just like me, Lost into fields of flowers
Flowers like never seen before, of colors not known to man
