Everyone has a soul
But very few have a truly good one
Our soul is but a small flower
Easily corrupted
Easily trampled
Easily destroyed
But there are those
Those that fight
That grow to great highs
Those few that go after the light
The roses
Roses that grow tall
Covering entire structures
Blocking out the sunlight

The dark portal
The window
You walk closer
You see a face
It is yours
A reflection
You are no longer alone
You are in their world
And they in yours
You feel a cold shiver
Going down you spine
You realize
The face isn't yours
The face belongs to another you
The face of evil
The face you dread
The face you fear
You close the curtains
Believing you have shut it out
You cannot see it
It cannot see you
That is not true
It is inside you
Waiting
Slumbering
It has awoken
It will strike...

Tears of rage
My voice is shaky
My eyes are red
Tears are dripping on the floor
Tears not of sadness
Tears not of pain
These tears are pure anger
Anger so potent it kills
As I stand there in front of you
Your voice loud in my ears
Your hand grasping my shirt
Me clenching my fists
Trying not to attack
Trying not to kill you
But your day will come
The day you die
And I shall not forgive you

Burning metal
One day
A day such as this
A day holding potential
A day with hope and aspiration
This day was ruined
This day was spoiled
The twisted bits
Stained with blood
Blood of the innocent
Blood of the pure
The blood of a friend
The blood of a sister
The blood of a daughter
The blood of a spouse
You survived
You didn't die
You got a chance
Her life was ended
On her way to work
On a busy street
You came around the corner
You didn't slow down
You rue it now
You feel ashamed...

I cut myself
Cuts to forget
Cuts not to deep
Cuts that barely hurt
The blood is barely showing
The cuts are very shallow
The cuts don't even burn
Cuts on my fingers

The copper zing

These hands are weapons
These hands aren't weak
These hands have been training
These hands make blood flow
I hate you
