Listen Up
Listen to the words I speak
Try to understand the pain
The daily struggle and fight that is my life
No more pushing
No more screaming
No more punishing
Just listen
Really listen
Let my words sink in and ponder
My perspective
It’s different
Fucked up
Disturbed
But, still listen
You owe me that much
I put up with the abuse
Hitting
Slandering
Accusing
I let you control me
Take over my life
Be my ultimate commander
Well, fuck you
Just listen you pieces of shit
I battle myself each...

Missing Him
Missing the soft touch of his hands tracing my breasts
Missing our tongues tangoing in the night
Missing the gentle tugs on my curls
Missing the rhythmic sounds of our breath
Missing his primitive moans
Missing sweet words whispered in my ear
Missing kisses down low
Missing the feel of his bare skin pressed against mine
Missing the feeling of penetration
The moment the curtains are opened for the show
Missing our tongues tangoing in the night
Missing the gentle tugs on my curls
Missing the rhythmic sounds of our breath

Society's Favorite Phrase
Most words are lies
because we all wear a mask
How are you? is a formality
Lost its meaning in society
Slap a smile on your face
Never share how you really are
The correct answer is fine
I’m fine
Always fine
Inside some are falling apart
But they hide behind words like I’m alright
Tears are right behind their eyes
Wanting to rush from their tear ducts
Full of pain and heartache
The weight of the world crushing their souls
Yet they keep quite and utter society's favorite phrase
I’m fine
because we all wear a mask

Oxygen
I drown in the river that is my emotions
I gasp for breath as the current carries me away
It never ceases
I constantly move forward
My feet are cut from the rocks
My self-worth leaking out with each drop of blood
I decide to sacrifice sanity for oxygen
so the river dries up into a rocky bed
I am free
I wander along the river floor, free from the water that once drowned me
I feel no pain
Aquatic creatures beg me to bring the water back, but their words don’t penetrate
Dehydration blocks the noise
I lie back and allow the blackness to slowly...

Beautiful Monster
Constantly flowing, speaking, screaming
Constantly lying, abusing, accusing
Constantly asserting, coercing, demanding
Seeping into one’s being
Eating one from inside, yet no nourishment is received
The lies are beautiful and prey on desperation, anxiety, and self-loathing
The promises sing words of comfort to those shattering into pieces
Disguising itself as the key to happiness, it grabs hold
It gives warm hugs and comforts
But soon the warmth is gone and there is only ice
Ice inside a prison cell made from lies
No concern or wondering ...
Constantly lying, abusing, accusing

Scandalous
Wrong
Right in so many ways
A secret of ecstasy
A forbidden love
Society says no
But I say yes
Yes, to the passion and intensity
Yes, to his experienced touch
I wrap my fingers around coarse chest hair
Taking in the sound of breathing in my ear
Cologne lingers in the air increasing my desire
Yearning for a body aged like sweet wine
He pulls me closer
Soft moans escape from my lips
I need more

Our hungry bodies plead
