I lay down my words
rite where I lay down
rehearse to a church full of freaks
writing till I light up the dark
feeding the vultures
straight to the point
sharper than a tac
you step on it
screaming "attack"
but it was just a little prick
your lyrical fix
so stay tuned

25 to life
as I contemplate change
myself I question
tear apart
awarkwardly rearrange
for what?
I am I
the trade winds blew
so why even try
as I hold my head to the sky
to say I can't love
a morbid lie
for my heart is yours
till the day I die
a saddening fact
for you are so far
we don't speak
only every other day
but not through our eyes
easier that way
not one for games
nor foolish ways
think it's time to leave
though my heart will stay
and winds of change...be blowin my way
