Hi, I have been writing off and on since as long as I can remember. I occasionally take a hiatus, but always come back inspired with new poetry each time. I would love to be a published writer someday, but as long as my poetry inspires, I'm happy.
LOVE POEM

Liar
You told me that you loved me,
You told me how I made you happy,
How I was the only thing keeping you alive,
How we'd always be together.
But you lied to me!
You lied to me about more than I ever thought you did,
About everything I thought was true in our relationship.
When I finally let someone break us up,
I thought I should be smacked for letting him do such a thing.
How could I let him tear us apart?
He didn't know you like I knew you,
He didn't know about our love for each other,
But alas, all things must come to an end,
And so did we....

I am just a fake
I am an untalented hack playing at being a writer
I am a child playing at being an adult
I am a teenager playing at being a grown man
I am a noob playing at being a pro
I pretend that I know what I'd doing
But clearly I do not and never have
Do not love me
Do not like me
Do not want me around
I am not genuine
I am not real
I am not worthy of love
I am not worthy of friendship
I am not worthy of compassion
I am only worthy of contempt

Future
I look onward to future days,
Be they days filled with
Mirth or days of sorrow,
I look forward to tomorrow,
Whether disaster untold awaits
Golden and pearly heavenly gates,
Or a future brighter than
I could ever imagine.
The future is mine for the taking
And I will reach out
For it and grab it.
My future is my own.

Running
I find myself running,
And I don't know where I'm going,
But I just keep running.
Am I getting where I want to be,
Or running away from my problems?
No quick fix is in sight,
So I just keep running.
Running towards a brighter future.
Running away from a dismal tomorrow.
Running to distance myself from my past.
Running to escape the fate
I have made for myself.
But am I really just
Running to be running?
And I don't know where I'm going,
But I just keep running.
Am I getting where I want to be,
Or running away from my problems?

I never said I was perfect,
I never said I don't lie,
I never said I don't need you,
Or that I never cry,
But this isn't where I need to be,
And my reasons for staying are fading fast,

Moving Forward
Where do I go from here?
If one door closes,
Another one will open.
Sometimes things just take time,
But I can't just sit here
And watch life pass me by.
I know what I want,
I know what I need.
But is it there waiting for me,
Just beyond the horizon?

Sleepy
My mind unravels
And thoughts drift away.
Sleep threatens to overtakes me
And put an end to my day.
Things have gotten finished
But so much is left to do.
At least there is tomorrow
For accomplishing things anew.

Help, I've fallen,
And I can't get up.
And each time I try to,

And my knees are swollen
For hitting the floor

Falling Short
It's all right there for the taking,
And all I need do is but reach out and grasp,
But this life is slipping away between my fingers.
What must I do to make all this last?

I do this every time
Try as I might, it's not long
Before I'm fucking up again
