Crafting Crowns
Thrown into a world I used to own,
A world fast paced and forgetful in its own right and way,
Thrown into a world I no longer know,
A world that has forgotten me just the same.
All these years later, upon my return to sender,
I've come to find the crown I crafted upon another king.
All that I worked for--wiped clean with blood for cleansor,
I've come to accept the fact that I can't accept the new me.
I used to stand apart until they all stood against me.
How can I stand apart on the legs they've paralyzed?

I Am the One
I am the one I swore I never was, never could be.
I am the one you swore would never make it.
I am the one I looked at in the mirror and swore I didn't see.
I am the one you swore just couldn't take it.
I'm not alone, never alone,
I stand among a crowd of invisible people.
I'm not a clone, no not a clone,
I stand different while you stand feeble.
I am the one I only ever dreamt I would be,
I am the one you couldn't recognize without the mask,
I am the one I thought was a hero in a movie,
I am the one you called worthless, useless, trash....

Defaced Part Two (Who Am I This Week?)
I will take a look in the mirror then,
To see what I turned out to be.
I see blond hair, blue eyes, pale skin,
To find out that what I didn't see was me.
It was you and you can't live with yourself,
Much less a carbon-copy inside of me;
It was you because I couldn't live with myself,
Much less inside this sea
Of lies and truths that can't be told,
So I let you make me whatever you are.
Of course I can't always fit your mold,
So I bend and I break, but it never gets me too far.
To see what I turned out to be.

Time To Slay the Dragon
Since the beginning of time man has been fascinated with the creatures of imagination,
But a creature as vile as this is yet unheard of.
Since the beginning of time we have dreamed of dragons killing men and nations,
But this one is real, and his heart is filled with perverted love.
Yes, for the first time since fairy tales, we have a dragon roaming the streets,
And he's not afraid to kill for fun.
Yes, for me the pleasure is only for he and I to meet,
And I'm not about to turn and run.
He breathed his words like fire, burning all who came in range,...

The Tribute
I will fake a smile for the sake of Kyle,
The guy who kept me sane through all the joy and all the pain,
And laugh a hollow laugh at December as I try so fricking hard not to remember
All of the little moments I once thought we had, the good, the ugly, and the ones gone so very bad.
I lost a lot of friends along this road, but what's gone is gone, so
I'll waste another day just thinking of what may
Have been the start of a forever full of "I wish I had never"'s,
And break another heart with my hollowed out false love, while I reminisce on what is,...

Take A Bow
Today my guardian angel sinned against me,
She raised her wings and her hands and flew away,
Today my guardian angel cut me so deep,
She raised her wings and left when I asked her to stay.
She sinned against me when asked to run away with me,
Today she broke the most fragile of hearts.
She sinned against me when I only wanted free,
Today she broke away to restart.
Start again with someone new, who's too afraid of all things new,
Just like she's too scared to leave what's here.
Start again with someone who can blind her from what's true,...

Dying Is Part of the Plan
If I died right now, I'd die a happy man.
So let me die now.
If I died right now, would you understand?
So let me try now.
If I live on any longer, I'll surely outlive this bliss,
So why should I live to prove a point?
If I live on any longer, I'll only have more lost youth to miss,
So why should I live on in this joint?
We're like caged birds,
When we're let out of the cage, we find that we're still inside a house.
We're like baited worms,
When we slide off of the hook, all that we have left to do is drown.

Honey, I swear to God I’ll never forget,
I swear to God I still love you.

I swear to God and by heaven above you.
Your voice still sings like a bell when it’s rung,
But it’s hit a note too high and now it sounds hollow.

I think you oughta think again.
You really oughta just try to get a clue,

Building Up To the Breakdown
Feel it building up inside,
Building up in time
To break it back down,
To let it just drown
In the blood it's bled out
In the world it's come to doubt
Existed in the least,
Except upon a leash
Broken, twisted, useless,
Letting it run clueless
Into every turn that's there,
With every tooth now bared,
Ready to take a bite
Out of anyone who might
Think he's standing tall,
Now just watch him fall.

Shadows
I run--
From Shadows every day.
I run--
From lights every night.
I run--
From the people I want to make pay.
I run--
From everyone in sight.
Shadows are my Kryptonite--
They bring me weakness, even death.
Shadows try to take my life--
They haven't killed me yet.
Shadows--a monochrome reflection--
They cannot hear nor can their eyes have sight.
Shadows--my fear is self-deception,
Because Shadows come from light.
