POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
The key to my heart is my poems, all you have to do is find the lock.
New Begginnig....
New beginnings:
It’s all going great,
Then suddenly the world caves,
And the sun doesn’t rise again,
The cold creeps in and so does poverty,
Children turn beggars, turn thieves, turn killers,
They call it the new age,
The age of darkness,
They say it’s worse than the zombie apocalypse,
You don’t believe them,
Say one day it will change,
Say one day you will see the sun rays,
Say one day, you will see the new beginning.
It’s all going great,
Then suddenly the world caves,
And the sun doesn’t rise again,
The cold creeps in and so does poverty,
Children turn beggars, turn thieves, turn killers,
They call it the new age,
The age of darkness,
They say it’s worse than the zombie apocalypse,
You don’t believe them,
Say one day it will change,
Say one day you will see the sun rays,
Say one day, you will see the new beginning.

Rebound.
Dont let go of me,
Not until I'm done hurting,
'Cause you're my rebound girl,
And my anchor from sinking,
Please don't hurt me,
Wait for me to heal,
Wait till I'm done using you,
For now you're my heartbeat,
Dont let go of me.
Not until I'm done hurting,
'Cause you're my rebound girl,
And my anchor from sinking,
Please don't hurt me,
Wait for me to heal,
Wait till I'm done using you,
For now you're my heartbeat,
Dont let go of me.

Goodbye
She took my hand into her pale, cold ones and kissed it. Giving me a weak smile she said “Remember that you are strong. Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.” I looked at her with eyes full of tears. Her bald head, curtesy of the chemotherapy, was wrapped in a white bandage. She had wrinkles on her face that made her seem so much older. Her lips were so pale and her once healthy body looked so sickly thin. Her time was coming, that, I knew. I looked into her deep blue eyes that once used to shine with life, chasing me around the house with a comb. Dropping me at school in the morning with a...

The Day
There will come a time,
When family will have no meaning,
And our mothers will be left grieving,
Silently praying for our wellbeing.
Will we be able to avoid the day?
When the one whom we love drifts away?
As we sit alone on the blistering bay,
Reminiscing the bliss of yesterday.
Where will we hide then,
When our sons start shooting?
Each bullet will be piercing,
Holes in our walls and hearts.
There will then come a day,
When all we know will fade,
When the sun will set,
Never to rise again.
When family will have no meaning,
And our mothers will be left grieving,
Silently praying for our wellbeing.
Will we be able to avoid the day?
When the one whom we love drifts away?
As we sit alone on the blistering bay,

You 'nd me.
I could never hurt you,
At least not the way you hurt me,
I could never leave you,
But you quickly left me,
I would always cry for you,
Yet your tears were never seen,
I had always screamed for you,
Your whispers were too loud for me,
I could never stop loving you,
Had you ever really loved me?
At least not the way you hurt me,
I could never leave you,
But you quickly left me,
I would always cry for you,
Yet your tears were never seen,
I had always screamed for you,
Your whispers were too loud for me,
I could never stop loving you,
Had you ever really loved me?

What Insomnia feels like to me.
What insomnia feels like to me:
It’s in everything I do,
The quick breaths that I take,
The moment I speak,
In every tick of the clock,
It’s a suffocating feeling.
My crushed chest, body aching,
The walls are closing in and world spinning,
Mind reeling, spiraling downwards,
Yet, I’m the only one who sees it,
The only one who knows,
It’s happening.
The windows are closing,
A scratching, an itching,
My throat is constricting,
I am unable to move,
I can’t close my eyes,
I’m afraid of seeing nothing.
Finally,...

Her.
She wasn’t lonely,
She was just alone,
She didn’t stay quiet,
She was simply voiceless,
She didn’t run away,
She had places to be,
She didn’t go swimming,
Her scars were too deep,
She didn’t hate you touch,
Even though she had cuts on her wrist,
She didn’t flinch in disgust,
She was afraid that you would hit,
She didn’t say yes to your love,
Her heart was already in pieces.

Forever.
I know we can’t have a forever,
But for now, embrace me,
Shield me from the harm,
Put me in our little fantasy.
And I know you won’t stay long,
But please, kiss me,
Make me feel things,
I would be afraid of feeling.
Wrap me in your warmth,
Pull me so close,
I want to be in your world,
Immersed into your love.
Before you go on,
One last favor,
From one lover to the other,
Take me with you.
*This is a little poem I wrote for the man I loved, may his soul Rest in Peace*

craving
I have a craving for, something sweet.
Would you like to be my treat?
Ha! as if it was an option,
But I can’t help it, you’re so tempting,
And you would be such a decent portion,
A little bit of this and that,
Your oozing blood makes me so thirsty,
Oh you’re gonna run, I thought this would be easy,
And I was doing quite alright, not even being creepy,
Oh well I do like my meals a little jumpy,
No don’t scream, my ears are hurting,
And I like your outfit, fashionable hunting,
Let’s say grace then shall we,
Mother always said, pray before...

Being Me
Growing up nobody told me that being myself was okay,
That who I was wasn’t a bad thing,
That being chubby didn’t mean obese,
And that being skinny wasn’t all girls dream,
No one told me to love myself,
They all threw comments about my weight,
They never saw me as I saw myself,
Eventually, the image in my mind also changed,
I no longer saw a healthy beautiful girl,
With a big butt and curves,
I saw a monster just like everyone else,
A girl who no boy would love because she didn’t love herself,
An obese waste of space whose living purpose was to...

For You....
I don’t know,
I don’t know what’s going on,
I have no idea of what life has to offer,
I’m sad too, because I’m human,
And no I’m not acting out,
I’m just putting down the mask,
But I guess the mask always needs to stay
Because that’s the life I’ve lived,
One where being myself was unhealthy,
And being beautiful is a dream,
I guess I write out my soul in these poems,
But you wouldn’t really know isn’t it?
Because this wasn’t how it’s meant to be,
I’m not supposed to have feelings,
I’m just another object in your sight,
I’m just going...

Bullets....
It’s true what they say,
You would take a bullet for the one you love,
Because some people are just that worth it,
I guess I am a target,
A big X written right on my chest,
A sorry bleeding sight I am,
That didn’t matter to them,
To any of them,
They still shot with expertise,
The ones I love, still hid behind,
Watched as every bullet pierced me,
Hurting just like the last one had,
Hitting hard realizing I may never be loved,
Because nobody seems to be in front of me,
No one blocking off the bullets hitting me,
