POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Trust
I trust too easily,
my heart still pure and innocent,
in so many ways.
Trust has cost me much,
including a heart broken into pieces
so small it will never be whole again.
Trust, such a short word, only 5 letters
but such a huge meaning.
Something not to be taken lightly,
something abused so easily.
I trust too easily...
my heart still pure and innocent,
in so many ways.
Trust has cost me much,
including a heart broken into pieces
so small it will never be whole again.
Trust, such a short word, only 5 letters
but such a huge meaning.
Something not to be taken lightly,

Walking Ghosts
You've all seen them,
the ghosts that walk.
They pass you in the stores,
and you give them no thought.
They seem to disappear from sight,
when really they are not.
You've all seen them,
walking head down, looking at their feet....or yours.
A person of no real description,
after all, how does one describe a ghost?
The shy teenage girl or boy, not really knowing
what it is they are wanting.
The crying woman, trying to concentrate on her needs,
instead of what has caused the tears.
Tired...

All I Ever Wanted
I've never asked a lot out of life,
don't want a mansion to live in,
no fancy cars, no diamonds or
too many shoes,
never wanted to be beautiful,
I did want to be 6' tall, but that didn't happen.
Never have received a Mother's Day card,
thought I might...once, was hoping anyway.
All I've wanted was someone to love me
and a place to call home,
enough room for those I love.
A place filled with love and warmth,
like fresh baked cookies and good coffee.
But here I am, alone, crying...

All My Fault
it always has been,
all my life, my fault.
if things didn't work right, I must have done something wrong.
in my marriage, obviously I did everything wrong,
not enough money to pay the bills, my fault.
ran out of milk, my fault.
he stopped touching me, my fault.
you fall in love, they leave you,
obviously, again, my fault.
traffic bad? my fault.
lose your job? my fault.
doesn't matter that I might try to do things right,
it ends up the same way, my fault.
thankfully, I can...
all my life, my fault.

A warrior woman thought to be from Syria,
a horse woman.
I was told that they didn't need men
except to procreate.
However, it would be an honor for me
to fight, side by side, or back to back
with the man I love.
To serve him, please him,
and pleasure him.
To make him want no other, than me,
in his life.
Unfortunately, for me, life has forced me
to be this Amazon,
Have had to take care of everything,
on my own,
When all I ever...

Dreams and Desires
I am giving up on dreams and desires,
fantasies and such,
They serve to only cause tears and pain,
Of those I've had enough.
No blooming flowers or fruit trees,
no horses standing in the breeze.
My life in limbo, all passions locked away,
Safely locked away.
Never a part of the whole, always alone,
that is what life holds.
Always trying to keep control, waiting for
my knight to rescue me.

Each Day
Do they ever end?
The tears?
Down my face or
into my ears.
Stand up and
face my fears,
of loneliness,
being unloved
and unwanted.
One foot in front
of the other,
Plaster a smile
on my face
and step out into
the world.
The tears?
Down my face or
into my ears.
Stand up and
face my fears,
of loneliness,
being unloved
and unwanted.
One foot in front

Plaster a smile

to see your name in print
to read your poems
to get a message from you
is all it takes
to make my heart yearn and ache.
to behold you with mine own eyes
the first time
to feel your fingers caress my cheek
the first time
the press of your lips on mine
would make my life complete.
but all I've gotten are promises
empty promises
and I cry myself to sleep again.

Living Without
I have learned to live without
a lot of clothing, when you move often, it makes sense
I can live with 3 pairs of jeans and 5 shirts,
6 pairs of socks and panties, 2 bras.
No dishes, pots or pans, few earrings,
can live with little food, cheap shampoo,
washing my clothes in the sink.
I have learned to do without so much,
but to never know your touch,
never know your love, I can not live without.

Come With Me
Come with me, he whispered on the wind.
Come with me, he said at night.
Come with me, he said, I will end your loneliness.
Come with me, he called, thru the storm.
Come with me, he moaned, we will be together forever.
Come with me, he said, over and over as I stood on the rocks.
Come with me, he crooned, I will end your pain,
and I stepped closer.
Come with me, he whispered again,
and I felt his icy touch.
Come with me, he demanded, as the wind sprayed me
with salty water and again,...
Come with me, he said at night.
Come with me, he said, I will end your loneliness.
Come with me, he called, thru the storm.
Come with me, he moaned, we will be together forever.
Come with me, he said, over and over as I stood on the rocks.
