Never thought I'd want to be a poet. I have soooooo much to let go of. Seems like a more constructive way to get it all out than letting it go in negative ways. Lets see where poetry takes me.

Disease
You're my fucking disease.
Always got me on my knees
making me do whatever you please.
Contort me.
Corrode me.
Distort me.
Erode me.
Devour me.
Overpower me.
Command me.
Dominate me.
Control me but never hold me.
You've learned to master me.
All my life
I've had something to hide.
My disease
finally made me give in.
Submission is what I needed
to set myself free.
It makes me feel so alive.
Always got me on my knees
making me do whatever you please.

Fireflies & Friends
The morning sun rises
Warming our hearts and filling our souls.
The water is glistening
Like sparkling diamonds reflecting rays from above.
We spend our day having fun.
We laugh and we play.
We have a truly beautiful day.
The evening sun sets
As twilight falls down.
A warm breeze enfolds us.
Fireflies glow and light up our night,
Blinking and twinkling, on and off.
We sit back and relax.
"Look up at the moon."
Your hand touches mine as we lay back on summer's grass.
We gaze at the stars.
Fireflies delight...

Sitting alone.
Waiting,wanting,wilting.
Why do I want what I cannot have.
Why do I want heartache and pain?
Still waiting, wanting, wilting.
Fuck you. Why do I let you do this to me?
That's all I've learned.

Hate and Prayer
Sitting legs crossed. Head in my hands.
I THINK and I PRAY.
Chilled winds swirl 'round. Gaze wanders far.
Mind closes in.
My HATE percolates.
Legs unfold. Gaze stares to the ground.
Hands raise to the sky and I CRUMBLE inside.
I scream,
"WHY THE FUCK AM I HERE?!"
"GOD.....ARE YOU NEAR?!"
Rain's now pouring hard from devious clouds.
Mouth opens wide as I think to myself,
"If I open my mouth perhaps I can DROWN."
Tears come CRASHING down.

I sit here in sorrow, not wanting to wallow.
