Eating Spaghetti
Eyes ever twinkling
And bright smile wide with only
Two bottom teeth showing
I laugh
Not at you but with, as you
Grab noodles by the fist full
Smashing them in your
Pudgy cheeks
A swallow them whole
Grabbing more and rubbing them in ur
Hair-my God girl! There's noodles
Everywhere!
Thrown on the floor- between ur toes
Tumbling out of your diaper
I laugh again-till tears down my cheeks roll
And bright smile wide with only

Consequences
Hey there! Did you see her?
The girl who looks at the ground when she walks, never looks you in the eye-skiddish as hell-wants to blend in, to disappear
Moving rapidly to get to her destination
Knowing her schedule is tight-she feels the invisible collar squeezing her neck, feeling his grip on her brain
Always mindful of the time-knowing she must obey the rules
Knowing well what the consequence will be if she fails to meet his expectations

Camel Wides
She gets the cherry fiery, piping red hot
This is the only out-the only escape this poor, lost, pitiful soul has got
It's fleeting only temporary-yes this she knows
It's sick and twisted and shameful the blisters bubbled up crispy and brown, in neat little rows
In her head the static and screaming is deafening turned up way above ten
This is remote her mute button that turns it down if only for a moment before the band strikes up again

Good Intentions
Arielle sat in the dark restaurant alone
The sound of the violin striking a chord in her soul
She had almost lost control and allowed the tears she held back to roll
She looked out the window for what seemed like the hundredth time
Searching the blackness for his form; the only thing in her field of vision, her line of sight-the bright twinkling of the city lights
Her favorite smell-hot buttery sweet rolls-was wafting all around her
But on this night it brought her no comfort
Even the taste of pasta soured in her mouth
She was sick from anxiety,...

Dazed and Confused
Almost tripped and kind of fell
Face first into an ocean of my feelings
Whenever you come near
My mind says go-my wretched heart says stay
Dazed and confused-so lost in my thoughts
Holding my breath praying the pounding of my heart you can't hear
A golden ticket to hell-thats what I got
Don't you ever see the yearning in my eyes?
Want to rip this cursed, devil heart from my chest
And lay it bloody, still beating at your feet
Go, come, stay, kind, over, fell, near, ever, yearning, and

Magic Carpet Ride
I'm floating
Feeling your breath in my ear
Tender caresses so velvet-soft, up and down my spine
My ears are ringing
My hips moving with the rhythm-keeping up with the tempo of the melodic chime
I am light as a feather
You are stiff as a board
My body is your spaceship
Take me for a ride to your galaxy- let's explore

I am gone
Not far
In a different realm
It's beautiful here my love
I feel no sorrow
No pain
No shame
I have no sickness, no need for drugs or a buzz
Dry up your river of tears
My friends and my precious loves-let me once and for all alleviate your fears: I AM FINE
Finally free of all the ties that bind
Able to see all of life's spectrum of colors
Here in the wonderland, glorious afterlife
I am with others who have gone before-we are all whole and happy

Love ever evolving
Hits you like a ton of bricks
Burrowing under your skin like a woodtick
Strikes like lightening
Deadly like the scorpions sting
Sometimes fun and wholesome and sweet
Others dark and possessive downright maddening
Passions burn bright heart gets scoarched from the heat
Can be oh so bittersweet
Beware my friend of the green eyed monster better known as jealousy
It will consume and devour
Bringing this dream to an end

My First Taste Of Reality
I watched the screen-eyes wide, full of anxiety-in the darkened theater
I dropped my pocorn as I desperately began to feel in the blackness for my mother's hand
Holding hands-mine sweaty and small; hers warm and comforting
Wait! What was happening up on the luminescent screen?
My heart seized in panic as I began to cry out and scream
I willed my legs to help me stand to run
Vommitting up all the goodies from the day-tasting the sickeningly sweet taste of cotton candy in my mouth and on my tongue
Blinded by tears into the parking lot I had run
