Deathly stares
Upon the boat we sit and stare,
At Sea and souls and sin and air.
The fate of man is written scarred,
The doomed condemned, the deathly barge.
To Hell we sail, no Holy Grail pride,
Can save our lives from waves and tides,
Which carry us onward through this fearful night.
No light in the sky of the afterlife.
He pushes us onto to who knows what,
The faceless unseen, the unknown thingy, wotnot.
His name is not known by mere mortals.
We never knew about all these portals.
Some go up but most go down.
You cannot leave, you cannot...

Right
If Heaven’s gates are all that wait,
Then let that fate which I await,
Take me in; I can no longer stay.
This fool for love hopes for judgment day.
This life I lived, to all I give,
Take it from me, I beg you please,
For if I cannot be in love and truly happy,
Then why would I live a life without? Do you get me?
A blind man cannot see the beauty,
That is forever out of sight.
Why can I not be right for her as she for me is so right?
My plight is that of a flightless bird,
Head down in the dirt.

Dark heart
The pain is back; feeble heart.
I can feel myself sinking into my dark art.
Hand me a life jacket or tear me apart with a single sentence.
To me you are only a thing of non-consequence.
All people are, is driving in their cars.
I’ve travelled far, but never left my star.
Hollywood drive, I have arrived;
Paint by number movies, oh how we laughed and we cried.

Beautiful tears
Life has an expiration date.
Call it sad or call it fate.
It has to end and all fades away.
You can fight against it but you can’t evade.
Remember your dead for they are not here.
You have loved them now for years and years,
And when you next meet them you will once more be near.
Their ending was not the beginning of your tears.
You have already cried and you did not die.
They fade away but you hold their light.
Inside your heart is where you will find them.
They will be waiting for you at your bitter end.

Call it sad or call it fate.
It has to end and all fades away.
You can fight against it but you can’t evade.

A beautiful lie
Tell me a beautiful lie…I’ll believe it because I have to.
Find me a corner in which I can cry, for this soul cannot be soothed.
Gift me a word of truth that I will never believe.
Give me your honesty so I can once more see.
A lie is just a truth, wrapped in an enigma inside a box,
And I can’t find the key, I need to unlock.
The words are misremembered or never understood.
Show me your truth and I’ll despise your good.
Hand me my life in a basket, I’ll devour your soul.
Wrap me in a casket, when I get too old.
Punch me...

Feels like I have died inside.
Still walking through the tears I have cried.
Memories walk with me by my side
And in my dreams is the only way I can fly.
Thinking of a girl who died soul free.
In the middle of the night she spoke with me.
She said let yourself go and dump your non-energy.
It only eats away at you, time after time, believe me.

Dig in
Dig in deep, I stamp my feet;
You’re never passing me by.
Make a stand; I hate your plans,
To try to ruin my life.
Stand up tall; bring down your walls,
I have to fight for peace.
Hear my call; I hate your war,
On peoples dignity.
Your claims are false,
You raise my pulse,
With every lie you tell.
You versus us, you broke the trust,
You swore to protect our health.
You kill us all, with words that fall,
As soon as they are exposed.
You fight your war of words with the poor,
With broken promises, overload. ...

I lost my mind today.
They say I look ok,
Because they cannot see,
The truth being betrayed;
But I saw it in you and I laughed.

The Quickening of the Heart
Eyes open wide, but inside I’m still searching;
Gotta find a wife before the end of the road.
Driven all my life on these feet I’m still using;
Following the light that I keep in my soul.
When all is said and done I want you to paint my picture.
The story of a son, with champagne in his hand.
Lived my life way too long always being a loser;
I think it’s time I find my true loves master plan.
People speak in words; I want to be telepathic.
Understand their minds with just a single glance.
I want to know her and taste her...

But who can say what will come of you and I.
