We started with a blank page
to that virgin dance floor we went
on that hard wood floor we took those first steps
beneath those dim light the love dance commenced
the music the two step and swing we dance to everything
so many different feeling meeting they could be ignored
your hand on my shoulder mine on your hip
moving smooth like skaters doing eights
you were like no one I had ever meet before
in our silence the music and the wood floor
an unspoken beauty in this moment

that night (love at first sight)
she became my wife in 1982 soon to be 39
I will never deny I married up
blessed by God and a touch of luck
married to the most perfect wife
thank you God for this amazing life
that night
was it just an idea of being in love
that night did I fall in love
was it just a boys heart filled hope
just acquainted to the most beautiful girl
what was her impression of me, does she like me
was it just an idea of wanting to be love by her
that moment in time, decided, make up your mind
should I let her see the true me or be...

what is love
is love just a feeling
or a work of fiction
does it live in ones heart
or something wished for
something you convince yourself
an allusion you buy into
I can only speak of what I know
love starts with a single thought a single dream
I dreamed of that special her throughout my teens
as for those dreams they came to life
I just knew by that first touched a dream she was true
the wish now , for her to have the same dream of me
is it an allusion or is magic coming to life
in her heart that love that I seek from her for me ...
or a work of fiction

every breath we take
every decision we make
every step changes the next
sounds kind of deep, not really
my red letter day was in May
the first day of May to be clear
nineteen and eighty two
my life change for the upmost
I was introduce to an angel
what a beautiful life she has given

holy cow look at you now
so beautiful then and now
my seventeen beautiful princes
today my fifty plus beauty queen
with wisp of gray and cute little wrinkles
every cramp and Charlie horse we deal
it keeps our love making interesting
I wouldn't trade a single day
of a day in our twenty's
two selfish clueless immature lovers
were quality as lost to quantity
today all is gain with nothing lost
